Yeoning increases his speed immediately he sees his father's attendants and guards, he quickly rushes to Lady Baek. "Where is my mom?"
"Your highness." She calls in a sober tone and bows.
"Tell me everything that happened, don't be afraid to tell me."
"I think the king his majesty is really mad at Suk-bin her majesty, he has never looked at her with such anger before."
"Should I contact the ministers?" The prince asks again.
"No." Lady Baek shakes her head. "They can't be of help either."
"Why?"
"They already turned their backs in her majesty because of your marriage to a northern minister's daughter."
"What?" The prince asks raising his voice a bit. "How does my choice of partner have to do with politics?"
"Your highness, what do you we should do now?" She asks holding tears back in her eyes.
Just in time, The king walks out holding his beaded necklace in his hand and with a lot of anger and pain in his eyes. Everyone bows to him to pay their respect. "Lady Baek." He calls.
"Yes your majesty." She answers and move closer to the him.
"Prepare to leave the palace with your mistress." The king whispers staring into nothing and totally ignoring the presence of his son.
"Father, your majesty!" Yeoning calls loudly with tears already rolling out his eyes. "Please don't be like this, please reconsider your decision."
"King your majesty!" Lady Baek calls and goes all fours on the floor, so as the rest of the attendants. "Please blame and punish me instead, I am at fault for not guiding Suk-bin her majesty properly." She says weeping loudly.
"You will be leaving in two days time." The king whispers and is about to leave when his son grabs his hand.
"My mom doesn't deserve this." The prince whisper with tears in his eyes as he looks straight to his father's eyes. "Think about the times that she had gone through thick and thin just to be with you. She had barely survived poison a lot of times, and the culprit have always been the queen dowager. But you haven't even thought of punishing her because she is your mom."
"Stop it." He warns his son.
"Please, just hear her out. Let go of this for once, I beg of you." Yeoning pleads on his mother's behalf still.
"Stop it!" The kings yells and brushes his son's hand off his. "I have made my decision, and that is final." He says and walks out.
"This shouldn't be, this shouldn't turn out like this." Yeoning whispers to himself trying to put two and two together, then runs in to see his mother.
"Your highness!" Lady Baek calls and follows the prince.
"Mom!" The prince calls at his mom and sits opposite her with tears in his eyes. "What should we do?"
"Your majesty! What do you think we should do now?" Lady Baek asks too.
"I don't know." Suk-bin answers bluntly.
"But we can't just sit and watch, we have to do something very fast, you mustn't leave the palace for any reasons." Says Yeoning.
"Should I get In touch with the lady investigators?" Lady Baek asks.
"No." Suk-bin sighs. "They can't be of any help now."
But something very confusing is the fact that his mom seems to be very relaxed and calm, as if she isn't even bothered about the new development at all. "Mom, you seem so calm about the situation at hand, do you have something in mind?" He asks.
Suk-bin didn't give any replies, instead she picks up her brush and dips into the ink then places in on a sheet of paper and starts writing. "Ok Jung, I am sure you know about what is going on in the palace right now. I am trapped already, and you are the only one that can save me as it is. Please, save me." She drops her brush and folds the paper handing it to her son. "Give that to Ok Jung."
"But why reach out to her of all people in a very crucial moment like this your majesty?" Lady Baek asks.
"She is the only one that can save me." Suk-bin whispers. "Tell the ministers I have a message for them, and they should gather by eight in the evening."
"Do you think the ministers will answer your call?" She asks again.
"Of course, they are fully aware that if anything happens to me, it's going to affect them as well. If I get casted out of the palace, they aren't safe either."
"But what message do you have for them?" The prince asks.
"Ok Jung will handle that. Just make sure you brief her on the whole story." Suk-bin answers with confidence.
"Mom, are you sure about this? Will
It really work out well?"
Suk-bin nods with a smile. "It should work out well, but his majesty is really going to regret giving such orders."
"I wonder why father his majesty can be swayed easily without eve considering your feelings too."
"I am sure he is tamed by the queen, she is using the whole situation to her own opportunity and advantage." Suk-bin adds.
"The queen is going to be worse than the queen dowager, she has already taken over the northern faction yesterday." Lady Baek whispers.
"Really?" Yeoning asks.
"Yes." She nods.
"I trust the fact that Ok Jung will never want anything to happen to her lover." Suk-bin whispers changing the topic.
"What?" Yeoning asks.
"The moment I am casted off the palace, you won't be safe either." She pauses and looks at her son. "Do you think she will want that to happen?"
Realizing his mom is actually saying the truth and the fact that he can relate to it. The prince nods his head. "She is the only one who can actually help us out now." He whispers to himself."
"Go and deliver the letter to her now and make sure you are careful and sure no one follows you." She says to her son and faces her attendant. "Go and deliver my message to the ministers now."
