Sol was a mystery that I was still trying to understand. I had more than enough reasons to keep her at arm's length because of that. I didn't want her to see clearly what was going on with me. I thought I could deal with it on my own. I thought so.
"Why did you have to come in here? I thought they said action was better and it spoke louder than words. You should know that at this time, I want to be on my own," I said in a defensive tone and from that point, I knew what she was going to say was not going to turn out well on my end.
I didn't like Sol seeing me when I was angry. At least, a little bit of time for me to clear my head.
