They left the castle gates and entered a fairly quiet street, the street broke off into 3 seperate streets that led to the Main Street leading to the castle gates. "This is lone Wolf City's main plaza, the 3 streets you see lead to the 3 main sects within Lone Wolf territory that surround the castle." Fu Shen explained as they took the street that went directly ahead.
"What are Sect's?" Wo Shie asked Fu Shen, this was a new world to him he was nearly a foreigner to the cultivation world and only had this level of maturity due to traumatic events coupled with an odd time dilation.
"Sect's are like organized groups of cultivators, think of a sect like an empire but on a smaller scale as their hierarchy is extremely comparable to an empire…"
After a brief pause Fu Shen continued, "You probably don't know how empires work so let me explain while keeping the sect analogy. Empires usually have one sole ruler, which would be equivalent to the sect master, oftentimes there's a vice leader to fill in the leaders place if their absent or die which is synonymous to a sect's grand elder."
"Under the leader and vice leader there are council members these are equivalent to elders of a sect. Then in most empires where there are universities and academies that prepare the next generation of leaders in a sect they would be referred to as disciples."
Wo Shie sat quietly listening to his explanation, there was an unconscious desire in him to grow whether in knowledge or strength. It was like his soul knew he wasn't enough as he was. Any information regarding any form of growth he would take it all in and try to find a way to put the systems available to his own use.
"That's about all there is to know about sect's the 3 sects stationed within Lone Wolf city are the Infinite Eyes sect, This sect is actually directly ran by the Rulers of the Lone Wolf city my Fu clan. The others are the 12 Deities sect, and the Death God sect."
When Wo Shie heard which sect's were based in Lone Wolf city he felt a slight familiarity hearing each name but not enough to make him think deeply about any of them except the 'Infinite Eyes sect'.
The carriage continued to stroll through another set of gates as they passed through the Infinite Eyes sect to enter the main city area.
"Is there anything special about sects or the ones here?" Wo Shie asked after connecting his 'Eyes of the Infinite' with the Infinite Eyes sect.
"Hmm sects can help talented youths with a weak background gain status and resources to bring themselves and their families up in power. All the sect's based in Lone Wolf city are ancient sects that survived through many Era's" Fu Shen answered to the best of his ability but for some reason it felt like he was holding back with his explanation as his eyes held almost a completely different answer.
Wo Shie continued to look out the window as they talked, he was marveled by the things he was seeing in the Infinite eyes sect. Every building the carriage passed by was in the shape of a pyramid with many carvings of different symbols on every inch of every building.
When they passed through the halfway point of the sect there was a golden sculpture of a pair of eyes, they had encrusted diamonds and onyx gemstones into the pupils forming different symbols that Wo Shie felt held a striking resemblance with his own eyes and the eyes he had seen in his visions.
Wo Shie looked at the sculpture and back at Fu Shen with untold levels of shock as in his mind he became slightly paranoid that Fu Shen and the world he knew wasn't everything that it seemed to be so far.
"D-don't those look like my eyes…" Wo Shie asked still trying to contain his emotions of shock as they rode past the sculpture of the eyes.
"Correct, they do look like your eyes, my master was able to cultivate his own eyes and said that if I went to that forest to train I'd have a fated encounter that would change the course of history." Fu Shen admitted that he was basically sent to find him specifically.
This made Wo Shie a even more reserved as he couldn't pinpoint why he had the same eyes they had a sculpture of or even how him and Fu Shen meeting could effect the course of history.
Wo Shie didn't reply and they continued through the sect, the string of pyramid buildings continued as the only noticeable difference aside from the symbols on each pyramid was the size of each pyramid as some were huge enough to dwarf the castle at the center of the city and others were small enough to be compared to the small hut he stayed in with his mother.
There were disciples and elders walking from place to place as some could even be seen flying at low altitudes to their destination and some were riding on the backs of mythical beast.
After an hour and a half or riding in silence and observing the scenery they made it out of the sect exiting from another guarded set of gates into the main city.
Here the streets we're much more busy as stands and merchants could be seen selling their goods and treasures on almost every corner. The buildings had an abstract architecture as they looked like random combinations of shaped that flowed perfectly into one another. The building that caught Wo Shie's attention mostly was a building that looked like a large glass dome with a 3D 8 pointed star sitting horizontally in the middle of the dome with a large platform at the center of the dome under the star.
