After she had returned to the Half-moon pack Clark was still seating on the throne. The agreement was that he would be the acting ruler till a final ruler was appointed and the options they had was Rita and Blue.
Blue had not decided that he would be running for the position of the acting king till the child was mature although Rita was already voicing out that she wants to be the ruler.
Some of the cabinet members insisted that Clark should just seat on the throne till the young child come of age, they told Clark that he could rule over both the North and the south at the same time and he would be doing exactly what Luna Sarah had Intended doing.
Clark then told them, "if that was what my friend and role model intended doing he wouldn't have made me a separate King of the North before his demise. Rather he thought it best to make sure everyone is on their own. I shall also stand by that decision."
