Chapter 95 - Let's have fun

Kian closed the door before the receptionist and he turned around looking at Della. Was she still asleep he thought and why did she still look good despite looking rumpled.

He went into the bathroom to take a bath. He washed himself thoroughly and by the time he was out she was already awake looking rusty. She sat up and she looked lost for a moment. He laughed a bit

Before she could say anything " go have your bath, Alvah needs us downstairs".

She looked at him confused until it hit her what happened last night. Her eyes were slowly widening and soon she heard the door knock.

Kian walked to open it and their breakfast was served. Kian took the food in closing the door.

He looked at her and she looked flushed red and he believed that she remembered what happened last night but he interrupted her thoughts.

" Hurry, we need to leave soon" she nodded slightly at him and stood up to the bathroom.

When she got in she cursed inside her. " What happened last night?"

She put on the shower and immediately it poured on her she screamed. Kian looked towards the direction of the bathroom

Is she okay, he asked himself. He walked to the door " Della?" Her head snapped to the door. " I'm fine" she responded quickly.

After what happened last night, he could do anything at this point. She locked the door and he could hear her locking it.

He felt hurt for a moment but hey she needs her privacy. So he ate his portion of the food as quickly as possible and left the room.

Before he could open the door, she had unlocked and opened the door to the bathroom. They both made eye contact for a few seconds when he noticed she was shivering.

" Are you okay?" He asked looking worried. " Yeah I'm fine" She walked out slowly. " You said the heater was working". She spoke walking to the wardrobe.

He was shocked. He had lied yesterday about there being a heater in the bathroom. " Umm... I think it broke this morning".

She glared at him as if knowing he was lying at this point. She turned around getting the random clothes she saw and she took them.

" Those don't fit you. The ones at the right are for you". She quietly returned them and took the ones he directed and walked in to change.

He left the room to go meet Alvah. When he saw Alvah on his way out the room to meet the receptionist. " Hey Alvah". He called out to him.

Alvah had looked at the receptionist and he had fear in his eyes seeing Alvah walking towards him in a hurry.

Kian looked at the both of them like he had interrupted something. " We need to start moving". Alvah spoke sounding almost angry.

" I agree with you but" ... " But what?"! Alvah was at his peak and he was way to furious to hear any more buts. So Kian said, " there would be a celebration today in the market so there would be a delay but if we hurry we can still make it".

Alvah was way to tempered for this. Without further a do he walked into the room with Adalyn in his arm. " Can we leave?"

" Della isn't ready yet" Kian said looking upstairs when a deep voice thundered in his ear. " Della!" Alvah called her name in a harsh tone.

The girl rushed to see who it was and when she saw Alvah's face, she went cold.

Adalyn didn't have a say in this neither would it work because this man's sacrifice is costing him his families at this point, and it was less of her fault. She looked unhappy at alvah's sudden anger and Alvah did not attempt to soothe his anger this time.

Della quickly rushed downstairs without eating otherwise Alvah might just dump this mission here and now.

"Let's leave" She said dressing herself. Kian looked at her and immediately knew she had not eaten. Wouldn't that slow them down even more.

Before Kian could say anything. " A ruffian looking man came out after hearing Alvah's loud voice and he sneered.

" You interrupted big man's sleep here". He spoke uneducatedly. " Is there a problem with that?" Alvah replied.

The man was referring to kian. But when he saw that Alvah was the one, he didn't know why Alvah looked almost evil at sight. Before he could respond to Alvah. Alvah was putting Adalyn down to walk up to him when the man was heading back to his room. Shortly they heard doors to other rooms closing.

Adalyn held onto Alvah and he ordered " let's leave". They all followed after him. And Kian could not help but think what sort of aura Alvah possessed that caused people to fear him the way they do. Was it his height or masculinity, the muscles what was it. He couldn't put a finger .

Still dronwed in his own thoughts and questions, della could not stop looking at him thinking of what happened last night.

And why Kian was acting like nothing happened.

They walked in silence and the poor girl could not open up to say that she was exhausted and hungry because of the mood they all found themselves in since this morning.

They walked a few hours when they heard voices and cheers and drums from afar. " We are close by?"

" Where exactly?" Alvah asked him. " Once we get passed this place it'll be maybe, just maybe a few more hours to get to the fire district but it might be sunset by then".

"Can we travel in the night?" Alvah asked looking at all of them. Kian knew that this girl would bid to his say considering his mood but Alvah was being too inconsiderate.

" Alvah they are girls, and it's never safe for them in the night". Alvah looked at the two girls and they looked scared and repelled towards him unlike before.

He snorted. " Okay" He shook Adalyn and she looked at him. He smiled at her but she didn't smile back. "You're being tough, I don't like you being tough". He smiled again.

No way he did not apologize Kian thought to himself after waiting patiently for Alvah to say a word instead " Thank you" was what he heard from Alvah. And he was jaw dropped.

"Let's go" Alvah said again grabbing everyone's attention. When they arrived closer to the celebration. Alvah noticed that Kian seemed to be looking for someone or something in particular.

" What are you up to ?" Alvah asked him and they all looked at Kian. " Nothing, I'm just trying to recall my way around here".

" If we can get past this crowd we would be fine" Alvah said assuring but that did not fit with kians plan.

" Let's have fun". Kian suggested. They all looked at him and he was surprised that Alvah had a dark smirk on his face looking at Kian. " Why did I suspect you were up to something when you made us tread this path".

" Okay maybe I had something in mind but it's quite interesting. I know a woman when I was a kid. She can tell prophecy's and she has visions. She can tell us what we want to know or what she sees"

" What you're trying to say is that she could tell us about Della's future husband without us actually looking for a husband " Adalyn said smartly.

" Yeah kid" He smiled at her. " And that way, what if her partner is not in the fire district?"

" Then I guess we'd have to go on another search, but we'll have a guide". Kian said to them with a slight smile.

" Della" Alvah called. She looked out of here like she was falling from the milky way. She raised up her head looking at Kian thinking, why did he suggest such a thing in the first place?, I thought he... I thought he confessed to me last night, we kissed.

Why, did I think he would tell them that he loved me and would want me instead of looking for a husband for me.

But here he is suggesting the best way to sell me off after what happened last night. Her thoughts crept lines and she had a dark look that they haven't seen before.

" Della are you okay?" Her sister asked her. But she got no response.
