Light began to fill Hannah's eyes as she regained consciousness. 'What...?' She wondered. 'I thought I died...' She thought as she looked around her blurry surroundings. 'God... Where are my glasses?' She wondered as she tried to move her body around only succeeding in flailing her arms that felt unnaturally short.
'That's weird...' She thought. 'Though I suppose the accident was rather bad, not being able to move properly is expected...' She thought. 'Even so...' She continued. 'I don't feel any pain...' She thought as her mind drifted. 'What if...' She thought
'No, I should dispel any strange thoughts that involve anything fantasy related. This is the real world, those things don't happen.' She thought as she continued to look around. 'I'm probably in a hospital right now and the doctors are just in a different room.' She added. 'That being said since when have patients been put in beds with walls?' she wondered.
As Hannah was lost in thought, a voice was suddenly heard, but it spoke an unknown language. 'What...?' She thought. 'I'm still in America, right?' She wondered. 'That doesn't sound like any of the languages you'd hear in the area. Not Spanish or Korean, and no Russian either.' She added.
Suddenly, a blurry figure moved into her view. 'Why... Is that person so large...?' She wondered as the figure moved closer and picked her up. The figure spoke in the same unknown language as she slowly rocked Hannah back and forth.
'No, wait... This can only mean two things...' Hannah thought. 'The unrealistic one: I'm only a head, and the more probable one: I am now a baby.' She continued as she imagined both scenarios. 'That would explain why my vision is worse than usual and why my arms felt short...' She added.
'That being said, if I am a baby, then that means I died and reincarnated. The former was expected, but reincarnation wasn't.' She thought. 'Besides, what were the odds of me keeping my memories? Was that even supposed to happen? Or am I an anomaly?' She wondered.
'What a strange situation.' She thought. 'I can tell that this is probably a woman based on her voice, but I wonder what she's saying. Also, I wonder if she's a nurse or if she's my mom.' She continued. 'No, wait... If I've reincarnated, then there's no guarantee I reincarnated in the same time period or world as my previous life. In fact, I have no clue what the rules around reincarnation are, so it could be anything and I could be anywhere.' She added.
'Ugh, whatever, I can figure all that out later, right now, I can't even gather any information, so I'll leave it at that until I can gather more information.' She thought as she closed her eyes and attempted to sleep.
Upon waking up, Hannah looked around once more and saw the almost familiar site of blurry wooden bars. 'Back in the crib?' She wondered as she drowsily looked around. 'I get the feeling that being a baby is going to be quite boring...' She thought as she attempted to focus on the ceiling.
'I suppose one of the upsides is the fact that I may be able to have decent eyesight in this life. That'd be useful.' She continued somewhat sarcastically. 'That being said, I should probably try and get to the point of walking as soon as possible, since that won't come by doing nothing.' She thought as she started trying to move her limbs.
'This is going to take a while...' She thought as she struggled to move.
