"What happened?" Hazel, who was waiting outside, asked as she said Esmeralda leaving the patient's room.
Esmeralda cleared, "He has to undergo surgery."
"Why?" Hazel asked.
"Appendicitis."
"Oh, that's pretty painful." It was Hazel's reaction. However, she knew that it was a little thing compared to what was going on in their heads. Of course, it was painful. But thanks lord, it wasn't something grave like an accident.
"Where is the rest of the family?" Hazel asked. Nobody was there for Liam. She didn't see the third brother and neither did the other Westbury couple.
Esmeralda answered, "No one is here, Haze. They all are somewhere they can't return right now."
