After some time, Esmeralda came to the living room for breakfast and found Ethan waiting for her. They were now seated at the breakfast table and she looked at him as if initiating a conversation.
"So?" Esmeralda said.
Ethan glanced her way and said with a sigh, "We have a bit of a situation."
"We?"Esmeralda did not understand who he was talking about. Who did this we include? It was not clear to her.

She did not know when they had a situation. When did it happen? Did it happen when she was asleep? Or there was something that she had no clue about?
