Ethan looked at Kate and said, "I will find the solution as soon as possible."
"Good, "Kate said, nodding her head. She stood up to leave. "Since we have already discussed what we had to do, I should take my leave."
Ethan nodded. It seemed like he wanted to tell her something but something was stopping him. Like there was this hesitation inside him that he did not know why it existed in the first place.
"How have you been?" Ethan ended up asking the question.
Katherine was surprised to hear the question from him. From the beginning, he was all work and no nonsense. He didn't say a word that implied that they might have a very close relationship in the past. She just felt like he was treating her like he treated everyone in the room.
She took a few moments to answer his simple question. When she did, she said, "I have been doing good. Life is not how I expected it to turn out but I am glad that it turned that way."
