Esmeralda got dressed and went to the company. She recalled that Oliver had called her last night regarding the workshop session that Amber also informed her this morning. She had agreed to it. She decided to go and see for herself. She wanted to drive to the office herself but since she was not allowed to even drive herself, she let her assistant and team lead her to the office.
Amber was waiting for her in the lobby of the office. As soon as she saw Esmeralda, she handed the files to her intern and to her, "How was your first day at your husband's house?"
Esmeralda rolled her eyes, hearing the sarcasm. She knew that Amber didn't wish to be mean but she felt like a sore point was being poked.
