"What a fucked up situation it is." Esmeralda sighed. "Can this situation improve?"
"No." It was a clear-cut answer. He did not even need to think about this. There could be a thousand questions that he did not know the answer to but this question was something whose answer he would never mix up with anything.
He had always known that this situation could never improve. It was not like he was not idealistic in his younger days. Like everyone, he had thought that one day, he would change the situation. When he had told this to his grandfather, the late old man had a good laugh at him. His grandfather had told him while laughing that he could raise a pet if he wanted but he should never let this utopian thought rise in his heart.
