After the early lunch, the two of them headed to the store where they bought a gift for her cousin. Now that they had selected the gift, the purpose of their visit was over. Currently, they were in the car and would head to the dessert place that he was talking about.
A few moments later, someone knocked on the window. As the window went down, a guard with the blankest face in a black suit and black shades appeared with a box and handed it to Ethan.
Ethan held the box and turned to look at Esmeralda. Since she was busy selecting the music, she didn't see the exchange between the guard and him. As he put the box on her lap she reacted.
"What's that?" Esmeralda questioned.
"Open it when you are at home, " Ethan said.
"Is it some sort of surprise?" Esmeralda asked.
"Maybe?" He gave her that mysterious look.
"I am not good with surprises, " Esmeralda whispered.
