Chereads / Dating A Badgirl / Chapter 10 - 10. Not a priority

Chapter 10 - 10. Not a priority

From the window outside, Sankara stared at Atthera who was lying weakly on the uks bed. Her face was pale, as were her usually bright pink lips. Sankara could not deny that he was worried about the girl's condition. But what else could it be? Kafka's presence in the uks room made him unable to freely meet Atthera. It could be that the friendship between the two of them was exposed. Atthera would definitely be angry, and she didn't want that. She unconsciously punched the wall hard. He was upset that he couldn't take care of the girl he cared about.

"Why do you seem so worried about her?"

That voice. The voice that Sankara wanted to eradicate from the earth. He looked at Thea sharply with a cold expression on his face. When would this woman leave his presence?

"None of your business," Sankara replied curtly.

"Do you know Atthera, San?" she asked again, still not giving up. Couldn't Thea see that his face showed no interest in talking to her?

"I say again, not of your business!" snapped Sankara which made Thea jump in surprise.

"I'm just asking San," she squeaked timidly.

Especially with Sankara's eyes that seemed to want to pounce on her. This was the first time Thea had seen Sankara that angry at her. All this time she had only seen Sankara throwing displeased looks at her, for whatever reason. But this time, she could feel the man's hatred.

"I should have asked you. Why did you do that stupid thing in class earlier?"

His question succeeded in making Thea stutter. The girl twisted her skirt because she was nervous about the unexpected question.

"Because I didn't like how you made the class noisy!" Thea replied quickly.

Sankara's eyebrows raised one side. He noticed the surrounding atmosphere which was still quiet because soon the break bell would ring, "Oh yeah?" he teased.

"What the hell?! No need to get so close to her face," Thea protested because Sankara deliberately brought her face closer to Thea as if she wanted to kiss the girl.

"You think I'll thank you for what you did?" she shook her head as she chuckled, "No. I'm not Kafka. I'm not the Kafka who wants to get close to a cheap girl like you!" he said scathingly.

There was a sense of relief that he could finally express his frustration to Thea. A girl who looked innocent, the reason why Atthera's face always looked sour every day.

"Listen to this Thea. You won't get any happiness when you take away other people's happiness." there was a short pause from his sentence.

There was an exhale of annoyance from Sankara, "I hope this is the last time I talk to you," he continued which sounded very serious, after which he ran away leaving Thea who was silent watching his back until he disappeared from behind the tree.

"No Thea. You can't give up on getting Kafka from Atthera," he muttered. It was as if Sankara's sharp words meant nothing to her.

Thea adjusted her hair slowly. Then glanced into the uks, where Atthera who was already awake was seen chatting with Kafka. Good! It was time for her to continue with her plan.

"I'm sorry, yes, because of the punishment I gave you you fainted," Kafka said feeling guilty. His hand stroked Atthera's hair lovingly.

"It's not your fault, really. It's my fault for wandering outside earlier," she replied equally gently.

Kafka nodded, "Where does it still hurt, hm?" he asked with concern.

"Here," whined Atthera spoiled while pointing to her forehead which was still throbbing.

Cup

Unexpectedly a short peck from Kafka to the forehead that Atthera pointed to earlier. Atthera's heart cheered happily because after all this time they were busy fighting, finally there was another sweet moment between the two of them. Ah, she missed the early days of dating before Thea came into their relationship.

"Just one more time, huh? I want to," she pleaded. Kafka pinched her nose. Feeling anxious with his girl's behavior.

But unfortunately, the sound of the door knob distracted them both. In the doorway was Thea smiling and waving her hand. Ah, more precisely that sweet smile was only intended for Kafka.

"You're feeling better, right Ra?"

Her question made Atthera frown in confusion. She could no longer hide her displeasure at the woman's presence.

"What's wrong?"

"Well, if it's better, is it okay if Kafka leaves you for a while? I have something to talk to him about," she said lightly.

"Can I talk to you later?" Atthera asked nicely. No, she didn't want to look weak in front of her enemy. But what else could she do? There was no way she could get up and grab Thea's hair, which was always in a beautiful bun.

As if ignoring Atthera's words, Thea approached Kafka, "Kaf. I want to talk to you."

"Yes. Later, okay? Thera just woke up," Kafka subtly refused. He didn't want to leave his girlfriend. Atthera looked at Thea smiling proudly because she felt prioritized at this time.

"It can't be later. I want it now," argued Thea who did not want her wish to be delayed.

"What are you, Thea? Kafka's girlfriend is me, not you. So don't act like Kafka wants to obey you all the time!" said Atthera, who was getting annoyed because Thea's whining was like a trumpet in her ears.

"Ra..." reprimanded Kafka instantly. He didn't like his girlfriend acting emotional.

There was a flash of dislike in Atthera's eyes at the rebuke, "No. You can't go. You can't leave. My head still hurts baby."

Yes! She was deliberately indulging in front of Thea. Let the evil girl know that Kafka still fully loved her.

Kafka, who was confused about what to do, chose to remain silent until the two girls in front of him gave in. Because if he said the wrong words, it could be fatal. But it seemed like Atthera or Thea still didn't want to stop arguing.

"Already, stop. I'm sorry Ra, I'm going out with Thea first. I'll be back here later, promise."

Test

Atthera shed her tears unconsciously. There was a part of her heart throbbing with pain at Kafka's decision to choose Thea over her. Atthera turned her face to the side. Even Kafka's hand that tried to hold her hand she just threw away. It hurt so much to be the second choice, when she should have been the first.

"Sorry Ra."

He was really sick of hearing the word sorry that kept coming out of his girlfriend. He didn't need to see how Thea was smiling triumphantly at him now.

"Arghh!!!" she screamed with her chest full of tightness. Atthera hit both sides of the mattress with her hands hard, venting her frustration there. Had she been at the A3 base right now, she would have punched the bag at the base relentlessly.

"Sankara," she whispered softly. Yes, Sankara! She needed that man.

Atthera quickly got out of bed. She wanted to tell Sankara, even hug her best friend. Although her head still felt dizzy, she didn't care. Karba's cure was no longer a pill, but the presence of Aksa aka Sankara.

As she laced up her shoes, the sound of footsteps made Atthera's head look up.

"Sena?"

Sena flashed a faint smile. The crazy girl was busy opening a white plastic bag. Atthera noticed the Red Cross Youth. emblem neatly stitched on Sena's tight white shirt sleeve.

"Are you a Red Cross Youth member?" she asked. Atthera's stomach tingled as Sena nodded lazily. She even burst out laughing. She didn't expect Sena, who was known as a bad girl, to join the health organization.

"Because you already know, so I don't have to bother explaining to you why I'm here now," she explained.

Actually, the main reason she was in the white-dominated room was not because she was solely a Red Cross Youth member. But Sena had witnessed the dispute between the three of them earlier, between Kafka, Atthera, and the innocent girl he knew. Feeling sorry for the instincts of fellow women, she also took the initiative to buy food for the prospective community leader she coveted. Yes, who knows by trying to be nice, Atthera will consider her request.

Atthera rolled her eyes lazily, "Yes-Yes-Yes. By the way, I'm already better. So you don't have to be pretentious to treat me," she trivialized.

"Who's being pretentious? Here, eat. Don't you want to die before your inauguration starts?" she asked, handing a bowl of chicken porridge to Atthera who was sitting on the bed.

Atthera's eyes looked at him suspiciously, "Are you bribing me, Sen?"

"Bribe? Are you saying you're bribing me? Yeah, no, that's crazy. You have to pay if you eat this porridge," said Sena, not wanting to lose. Actually, he was joking about it. There was no way he could say openly that this was a form of bribery.

"I don't like porridge stirred," Atthera said flatly, seeing that the porridge had been stirred well.

"Bloody hell. What sect are you in? It's clear that stirred porridge is the best," said Sena, shaking his head.

"I'm the one who wants to eat the porridge, right? Why are you getting angry? Ah, never mind. Talking to you is just like talking to stirred porridge. Disgusting." Atthera walked towards the exit.

Sena's jaw almost dropped at the beautiful girl in front of him.

Okay. He would not force Atthera to eat. It was a good thing that she, who was not a human who cared about other humans, cared about Atthera today. Unappreciated anyway! Poor Ansena.

"Atthera."

Sena leaned her body against the wall.

"There are times when it's better to be far away, than near but not felt. It's better to be away, than present but it hurts. Honestly, half measures are bad. Don't hesitate. Stay if you really want to stay, Go if you really want to go."

"It is better to be temporarily disappointed than to be disappointed for too long. It is better to let go now, than to hold on but get hurt."

Atthera wanted to open her mouth. But Sena continued his unfinished speech, "Really, deh. It's better not to delay the separation anymore. If it already hurts, just let it go. Separation hurts, but staying with the wrong person can make us sick."

"You don't understand what I feel because you've never been in love yourself."

Sena's lips curved upwards. She stared at the cement floor.

"Yeah. What's the point of falling in love with me anyway?"
