Chapter eight
Max
I couldn't help but stare at them when they both entered the school, they were absolutely looking graceful as ever. I saw the expression on their faces as one of the hallway girls talked to them. I could tell she had already told them the news.
I couldn't help but feel sorry for jade, as I saw her run away. Tina on the other hand, I knew she'll be disappointed in me but I didn't care. Deep down, I did it for a reason, a reason that only us knew about,.. a reason only the play boys crew understand..., and that is why I have to protect Tina from that monster, that monster Michael.
you're probably thinking right now, Max is a jerk! but, I just did what I had to to. the only option left for me to choose from was Tina and jade. And of course, I choose tina but, she wouldn't budge. if we had dated, she wouldn't have been free for the guys to play with and I'll eventually have to protect her from them but, No!. she didn't want to betray her friend. even though I knew how much she had waited for this and how much "I" wanted this.
I've always felt something for Tina, and I knew it. We've been friends for a while now, and she always acted like she didn't care. I remember back in fourth grade, I once asked her a question,
"would it be nice if we're more than friends?"
she never really answered me but, she just gave an instance about how love ruined the friendship of two people she knew. I realized that day that some people are willing to hide their feelings about a particular person, just to keep that person.
That was the case between me and her. I liked heather and mostly learnt to use jade as a cover. she compare to heather in the terms of beauty thought but, that was only my opinion. Tina was beautiful in and out, caring, smart and a total weeb.
I guess the guys noticed her, no matter how hard I tried to hide her from the school. Now, he wants her in his collection... his collection of played girls.
JADE
"wait! jade? where do you think you're going?" I asked jade, clenching her arm.
" No where Tina. I just want to relax," jade said, trying to restrain my grip.
"Calm down jade, I held her. I thought you wanted this? you've never showed any interest in him from the start and you kept acting like you didn't care. so why are you getting all worked up"
" you don't understand, Tina."
"what's there to understand? you never actually liked max from the start, did you? you always ranted about that Michael guy or whatever, not paying attention to him. you wanted him to wait for you, to keep kissing your feet. even when you knew that I liked hi...."
" you liked him, didn't you? oh my God, Tina. you kept this from me, though I'm your best friend. I can't believe you! " jade threw my hands and walked away.
jade, come back! I ran after her.
I couldn't believe what I just heard.
max... Ray-ray, how is that possible!. Noo..I thought max would wait for me, I thought he loved me, and that girl Tina! she was just a very... very bad person. I couldn't hold back the tears that streamed from my eyes.
Max needed to explain to me.., to explain the cause of this action.
I was till in the sink when I heard the continuous banging from the door.
"Bitch I know you're in there? come out"
I knew I've heard that voice somewhere but I couldn't tell. I unlocked the door only to find Ray-ray and her laughing.
"Has someone been crying" she said ,as she made a crybaby face.
"Get lost Ray-ray" I screamed
"You still have the guts to talk, even when you're still ditched."
"Don't make me get you, Ray-ray or whatever you call yourself if not you'll hate me". That was enough to make them panic.
"We'll go...but don't say I didn't warn you, stay away from max. He's mine now. Let's go girls" Ray-ray signalled for them to leave.
I washed my face and quickly did some make ups. I'm jade bekkerman...I said staring at the mirror, I deserve better.
