None of the girls knew the time has passed that much. They were busy smoking and thinking deeply about the storms waging In different aspects of their lives.
The loud horn jolted them back to reality.
"I think that is my mom." Linda hurriedly drops the cigar in between her fingers on the stainless steel, picks some mint chewing gum
From the plastic and forced it into her mouth to kill the horrible smoke odor coming from her mouth. She picks up the perfume and sprays herself up, the sweet scent filled the room.
"How will you leave this place?" Anita asks anxiously and didn't wait for any reply. "I think you need to hide."
"Dont worry about me and clean up the mess." Linda says pointing to the cigarettes and bottles of liquors.
They all watch her as she matches back to the old safe and uses all of her strength to move it. Behind the safe, they had just thought it was an ordinary wall. But to their greatest surprise, the was a door.
Linda gently pushes the door open and goes in. "Please move the safe back and cover it with the curtain." she whispers and shuts the door. The door leads to the main building's kitchen store. She chews on her chewing gum hastily before walking briskly back to her room. Making sure no one saw her.
"I hope my daughter didn't try to create any scene during my absence." Jessie whispers to one of the body guards as she steps out her of her luxurious car and is about to step in.
Cecelia stands not making any utterances but with a lot of questions.
"Not at all ma'am." He replies shaking his head.
Jessie smiles broadly. "Did she come out at all or was she just in all through?" she asks again.
"She did come out a while ago, but she only asked of one of the maids." The other body guard replies.
With a heavy frown on her face, she turns to the guard and asks. "And?"
"I told her she was in the maid quarters, and she went there."
"Went there?!" Jessie asks at the top of her voice.
"Yes ma'am."
"So what time did she return?"
"I actually haven't seen her return from them." He faces his colleague and asks. "Or have you seen her return?"
"No." He shakes his head.
"That annoying thing." Jessie mutters beneath her breath and walks briskly to the maid quarters, while Cecelia follows. She kicks the door open as soon as she got to the entrance.
The kick at the door made the maids pause on their arranging and cleaning. They stare at their madam, looking very confused. "Good afternoon ma'am." they finally chorus as soon as they seem to get words out their mouths."
Jessie ignores their greeting and steps into the apartment, looking at them irritatedly and annoyingly. "Where is my daughter?"
"Your daughter?" Genevieve asks acting out well.
"I was told she came here."
"Came here?" Anita asks too and looks at her colleagues consecutively. "Did you see her?" They shake their head. Anita faces Jessie again. "She wasn't here ma'am."
"So you say the guards were lying?" Jessie asks still suspicious of the girls.
"She could have walked back In without them noticing her." Cecelia says from outside and steps in. "Have you forgotten there is a door In the kitchen too?"
"So you think she probably just took a walk?" Jessie asks not looking at her.
"Perhaps!" Cecilia replies not too happy and not too sad.
"Please be careful with my daughter, I didn't bring you here to make friends with her." The madam whispers some warning to them then turns her back and walks out.
The ladies sigh heavily of relief as soon as Cecelia shuts the door and they heard their footsteps fading away, just to be sure they really left and not eavesdropping.
"Thank goodness we didn't get caught." Genevieve mutters.
"It would gave been the end for us all." Rita says screaming in her lowest tone.
"This is very risky." Anita whispers. "I am not in support of us getting closer to that tomboy."
"Her name is Linda." Genevieve retorts more like a resounding correction.
"It's fine in as much as she doesn't get us in any trouble." Anita whispers. "I still love the smell of incense, it's so wonderful." She inhales deeply.
Jessie kicks the door open and it earns her the most irritated look ever from her daughter who is sitting on the wooden chair and painting her toes. "Why are you looking at me like that?"
"Courtesy demands you knock before entering someone's room." She whispers and looks at Cecelia almost irritated too.
"I swear to you, that irritated look doesn't look good on you at all." Cecelia walks in and sits in the bed close to Linda.
"I never asked you to come in." She says with a frown.
"You toe looks very beautiful now that you have painted them." She whispers admiring the leg but Linda pats no attention.
"No, they mustn't be together." She mutters in her mind and shakes her head, then says loudly. "Cecelia come with me."
Cecelia stares at her mom irritated too for a while before walking to her. "I need to rest a bit ma'am." She whispers and walks away.
Her daughters are gradually turning her into irrelevance!
