"I can't believe you kept this type of thing from us Abdullah." says Darifa with her face not looking happy.
"I am Sorry, we weren't sure of who is who, so we had to keep our mouth shuts." Abdullah tries to defend he and his lover.
"I feel bad for her." Asma whispers. "She has gone through a lot."
"The problem is not her going through a lot, but her holding that much pains in her heart all alone, facing her fears and making sure it doesn't affect anyone." Darifa adds. "She is a very strong woman."
"So please, when she is back here, I want us all to do our possible best to always make her smile and happy. That is all what we can do as her friends anyways." Abdullah pleads.
"But, she can't continue to live in hiding." Darifa says sternly. "Don't you think she needs to know why her entire known clan was wiped out?"
"She suspects her mom's ex lover, Mr Paul, but I suspect his wife Jessica." Abdullah whispers to them both.
"Why his wife? When it is obvious that Mr Paul or whatever you call it hold grudges against Ella's parents?" asks Asma.
"You know, sometimes what we don't know is more than what we think we know."
"Why do you say that?" she asks again.
"There was a time, Ella's father wanted to upgrade his hospital's technologies, so he needed a partner in his business because of the money involved. The initial plan was that whoever becomes the partner will give the hospital that huge some of money and be a owner for three to four years when the hospital must have made the exact money which the partner gave out. He planned to returned the money and be done with all the partner issue, but his plans didn't work out, as Jessica's father was the one who stepped up to be the partner and he transferred all legal rights to his daughter immediately all documents were signed." Abduallh narrates. "Don't get me wrong, I am not saying her husband couldn't have led her to it, but it seems all too suspicious as if she had her own personal aim."
"Definitely, there is a story that we all don't know about then." Darifa pauses and continues. "A story that we need to hear, that story is the answer to our questions."
"And that story, can only be told." Abdullah says and his other two friends join him in completing the sentence. "In Nigeria."
The call gave him away, as Asma and her friends look to see that Malik had actually been listening to all they have been saying. Malik answers the call. "Hello Eric."
"Sir, we have a problem at hand." Eric says with his voice trembling.
"What is that?" Malik asks not suspecting anything bad.
"I think you should come over sir."
"Can't you say it over the phone?"
"I believe when you come over, it would be better." Eric insists.
"Alright, I am on my way." He ends the call and sighs. "Only God knows what has happened again." He murmurs.
"Is everything okay? It's late already, are you sure you can go out?" asks Darifa.
"I just got a call from Eric, he said I should come to the police station."
"Come to the police station?" Lola cuts in. "Why? What happened?"
"I don't know, but he insists on me coming there." He sighs. "I know it is related to Jessica and Emerens, probably he found out something."
"Then I suggest we all go together." Asma suggests.
"No we can't." Abdullah disagrees. "What about Kim and Kylie? We can't possibly take them to a police station."
"That means I will have to wait behind." Lola whispers.
"I will stay with you." Asma volunteers with a broad smile.
"Let me get my keys so we can live at once." Malik walks out to pick his car keys.
