Ella looks in the mirror and stares at her reflection for a while, then adjusts her necklace, keeping it inside her shirt, probably hiding it for some reason. She Carries her school bag and matched to the sitting room.
Vivian was set too, prepared to go to work. She wore a purple chiffon dress with had nice embroidery on it, with a black wedge and black bag.
Her phone rang and it was Andrew, a lot has been happening, she hasn't really been giving him the utmost attention he needs, but she still tried to communicate on a daily basis. She picks the call and puts the phone clear to her ear. "Hi dear." She greets, grinning from ear to ear.
Ella stood there looking at her aunt, she wondered who the caller was.
"Morning beauty, how was your night?" Andrew asks.
"My night was good, how about yours?"
"It was very bad, you have been too busy for me these days."
"I am so sorry." Vivian sighs. "I have just been very busy."
"I understand, what are your plans after work today?"
"Nothing much."
"Okay, why don't we go see the movies together? I would join you at you at the office during your closing hour but I won't come with my car, so you can drop me off at home and know where I stay."
Vivian wants to spend some time with him, but at the same time, leaving Ella in her current state could be bad. "Alright, I will give you a call in the next two hours."
"Okay love, goodbye." Andrew says and ends the call.
Vivian drops her phone and her gaze caught Ella who had been staring at her for a while. "Why are you looking at me like that?"
"Do you have a boyfriend?" Ella asks ignoring her question.
"Look here!!! Where do you learn these things from?"
"Do you have a boyfriend or not?" Ella asks again.
"No I don't." Vivian fumes.
"Then who were you talking to earlier on the phone?"
"He is just a friend." Vivian retorts and smiles. "Can you stay at home by yourself for some time? I would be coming late this night, I would tell the estate security to keep an eye on you for me."
"Okay." She folds one of her arms and stretches the other one out. "Give me some money."
"You are so unbelievable some times." Vivian laments as she opens her bag and gives Ella some cash and immediately she was grinning from ear to ear. "Make sure you pick up when I call you and please be very careful."
"Yes." Ella nods happily.
Money really is a source of joy, Ella walks to her classroom with so much joy, the thought of how many chocolate and ice cream she was going to buy gave her nothing but goosebumps. She ran into the principal on her way. "Good morning ma'am." Ella greets delighted.
Delighted? Why is she even in school today? Every normal girl would want to stay at home
For a while after what Ella experienced the previous day. But reverse is Ella's case, she was even very delighted. The principal looks at her then smiles before replying to her greetings. "Hi how are you today?"
"I am fine." Ella replies grinning from ear to ear.
"I noticed you had a necklace on yesterday, do you still have it on?" The principal asks and Ella's look changed immediately. From delighted to very dangerous look, and it scared her. Why would a young girl be capable of giving such look? "You know it's fine if you don't want to-"
Ella pulls out her necklace from beneath her shirt and still maintains her dangerous look. "I still have it on."
So what? She had already pulled out the necklace, I should just check it to confirm. The principal moves really closer to Ella and picks on the necklace pendant which had her name inscribed on it. It was pure Diamond. "Ella, you have a Diamond on your neck."
"Yes, I do." Ella says.
The principal moves away a little from her and says. "You can go now." Ella puts her necklace back in it's safe spot and left immediately without any utterances. "Who is this girl? Why is she so fearless?" She asks herself.
Ella walks into the class and saw her friends and some of her classmates who were busy doing or two things. Her friends were talking about her and they were shocked on sight of her, none of them was expecting to see her in school that day.
"Why are you in school?" Abdullah asks.
"Is that your way of saying good morning?" Ella asks too.
"Why are you here? You should be home resting." Darifa whispers.
"Our examination is fast approaching, I have to read." She replies as she had her seat.
"Ella." Asma calls softly. "You are too brave."
Come to think of it, Ella didn't tell neither Asma nor Darifa, so how did they know? "Who told you people in first place?"
"I did." Abdullah replies sharply.
"Oh I see." Ella sighs. "The culprit would be punished, so you guys don't have to worry."
"Please be more careful from now on." Abdullah pleads.
"Ella." Jessica cuts in. "Please let's talk somewhere private."
"Why?" Darifa asks.
"Ella is not going anywhere, say whatever you want to say here." Says Abdullah.
"I won't let Ella leave this place." Asma adds.
The other students focused on them again, it was almost turning into a routine where Ella would always be the center of attraction.
"Please, save my mother." Jessica whispers making sure the other students didn't hear. "Please, I beg of you."
Ella wished she could also beg those people who killed her mom to save her, but she wasn't given the chance to. The bell rang when she was trying to give reply to Jessica.
All the students assembled and the Principal stood on the podium, her eyes were fixed on Ella for a while but she controls herself. "Hello students, I will make my speech quick." She looks at Jessica again and continues. "Jessica! You have been expelled from this school due to constant violation of the school rules and regulations." She sighs. "Jessica leave this school immediately and never be seen round the school premises, the rest of you should return to your classrooms."
