Ella made friends with Abdullah and Asma, the duo seemed cool and innocent but Ella wasn't so sure so she decides in her mind to still study them well before trusting them. She wouldn't give room for any form of betrayal or backstabbing.
'The always calm and quite Ella is dead, now I will give the world exactly what it has given me. I will show no mercy to anyone that tries to block my path.' Ella says in her mind.
"Apart from those three girls, are there any other class bullies?"
She asks her friends as they were on their way to the school canteen.
"No, everyone else is cool." Asma replies.
"To avoid being bullied by them, you just have to avoid them not to get their attention, and do whatever they ask you." Abdullah adds.
"So, you have to practically serve them like they are the most high?" Ella asks sarcastically and burst into laughter.
Her new friends were shocked by her attitude towards what they said, probably because they have always been victims of the bully.
"Stop laughing." Asma says and they stopped walking, then she looks at Ella. "We are victims."
Ella opens her eyes wide open in surprise.
"What did you just say?" Ella asks again as if she didn't hear clearly.
"Yes." Abdullah replies. "We are victims, they hit and insult us as they wish. Calling us all sort of names and making us pay for their mistakes and crimes."
"Goddamnit!!!! Those bunch of losers." Ella curse as she clinched her fist.
"We know how it feels to be a victim of bully, that is why we don't want you to fall victim. So please just avoid them." Abdullah pleads.
"Can't they be reported?" Ella asks again.
"No, their parents are very strong members of the PTA. They are very influential." Asma replies holding back her tears.
Ella's mind travels way back to the time her mom called on a very urgent PTA meeting because of Linda, for sure she missed her mom again.
Normally, Ella would have shed tears anytime she remembers her parents or grandparents. But this time around, she just smiles and whispers to herself. 'I have no more tears left to cry.'
"Wow, this thing happens to be everywhere!!!!!." Ella exclaims after short silence.
"What is that?" Asma asks.
"Can't you guess?" Ella asked smilingly and hold her friends side by side to continue their journey to the canteen. Obviously, she was trying to lighten up the mood, but it seems her friends couldn't guess so she decides to tell them. "Corruption!!!! some bullies cannot be punished because of their influential parents."
Ella says and her friends agrees with her. They soon turn it to a random discussion and finally come to a conclusion "CORRUPTION RULES THE WORLD."
The trio were having their lunch peacefully and happily when the school bullies walks in on again. Fear grips Asma and Abdullah, but Ella isn't grip with fear.
"Wow, you seem to have made friends with the best losers on earth."
Jessica says, she seems to be the leader of their group as she always maintain the middle position and always talk first.
The other students that were having lunch already fixed their eyes on Ella and her friends and some watched with fear.
"She is exactly where she deserves to be." Darifa adds.
"With the losers."
Emerens concludes and the bullies laughs loudly.
Ella looks at them for a moment, then says to her friends. "Let's eat." At first, they didn't want to. So She looks at them and say it again but this time with a lot of anger and pain. "Let's eat."
They pick up their spoons and start eating again. Leaving the bullies to themselves. The other students whispers amongst themselves as they really love Ella's courage. Jessica and her friends couldn't believe what just happened, all they wanted was for Ella to talk back so they can attack and also have every reasons to bully her. Unfortunately, their wish didn't come true because Ella didn't give them a chance.
Asma and Abdullah had every reasons to stick to Ella now, they now saw her as their protector, they were also thankful to her for saving them the hands of the bully.
Getting home, Ella narrates the whole story to Vivian and when she talked about how she snubbed the bullies they burst into laughter. Ella was a good story teller, she narrates the scene well.
Vivian looks at Ella, smiles at her and says. "It's as if you mother gave birth to herself again. Your mother also saved me from the hands of my school bullies too."
"Really?" Ella whispers. " while we are on the story, will you tell me how you met my mom."
"Yes." Vivian nods. "I was walking back from school, looking very frustrated and I had a little bruise on my face. Your mom, though she was inside the car still managed to notice me, I think she was pregnant with you then. She stopped the car and walked towards me, then started asking me some questions. At first, I didn't give positive response but she Persuaded me and I opened up. Then, she went to my school and made a report also made some donations to the school which saved me from the hands of the bullies." Vivian sighs and continues. "Since then, she has been my all in all, my mentor, my savior-"
"Come to think of it, bullies seem to be everywhere." Ella says cutting Vivian off. "My new friends complained about the same thing, they have been bullied but can't place a report because those people's parents are influential."
"Corruption rules the world." Vivian adds.
"Miss Vivian, please can you join the PTA for my sake? That is the only way I can deal with those pathetic bullies."
Vivian smiles and holds Ella's tender hands. "I will do anything for my beloved baby girl."
