Mary looked down into the abyss, still hanging onto her life. She saw a huge creature like the experiment outside of this mansion but it was another creature instead of the anglerfish.
It was a worm. Its face seemed to be facing Mary. Mary panicked and her palm began to sweat. She was losing her grip but trying to hold on longer.
She looked down again to see if it noticed her. This time the experiment was opening its mouth. Mary could see all its razor-sharp teeth and there seemed to be no end to it.
Mary hastily climbed up maybe fear was the one giving her strength to climb. When her feet touched the floor, she crawled to the first aid kit and bought it further away from the hole.
Luckily, she decided to do that after she managed to escape, the experiment came out of the hole. Its large size wasn't a perfect fit and broke some of the wooden planks.
Mary tried to stay in the same position while not making a single sound, hoping the experiment would leave and... it did. The experiment shut its mouth and slowly sank back into the abyss.
Mary felt her whole body, shivering in fear, and when she turned around to see if there were any more experiments. She saw Lucius's hand laying on the ground just a few steps away from her. Pushing all her fear aside, she dashed toward Lucius and kneeled down next to him.
She took out all the materials inside of the first aid kit and looked at his wounds again.
This won't be enough to close up his wounds even if I did bandage his wounds, he would still be bleeding. His tail is badly injured and his eye and abdomen were badly ripped. I need to find something that could help close up his wounds but what?... Maybe... needle and strings?
Suddenly, a memory struck Mary's mind. She knew a place where she could find it. She turned right and looked up at the stairs as if she had forgotten all the troubles and dangers, she had faced without Lucius.
Even if I'll be in danger up there but...I have to do it for Lucius! She thought as she stood up. He doesn't have much time left I have to be quick.
She turned back to look at the motionless Lucius behind her.
"I'll be back soon. Please wait for me."
Then, she ran upstairs as fast as possible not slowing down even for a little while. As she reached the corridor, she quickly turned right and pushed open a wooden door.
Inside there was a large bed, it was the bedroom where they rested before. She hastily threw open all the drawers, hoping there was something. As she was rummaging through the drawers, something stabbed her pointer.
She groaned and quickly withdrew her hand from the drawer. She looked at her hand and stared at the drawer. Then, she saw a sharp, silver object. She moved her hand toward the silver object and pulled it out, it was a needle.
Yes! I found it! She thought while smiling. Now I need to find some strings. It shouldn't be far from the needle. There it is!
The black thread was covered by ripped plain papers from some book. Mary didn't think much of it and dashed out the door. But, when she reached the stairs, she stopped.
She thought for a while then headed to the bathroom. She stepped once again into the gorgeous marble room and started looking around as if finding something. She observed the bathroom and saw two wooden buckets, she took both of them near the sink and filled them with water.
After filling them up, she took two pieces of towels and decided to take one bucket at a time as it was too heavy for her to carry. When she came back for the second bucket, she noticed something. It was her old pants.
She grabbed her pants and checked the pockets. Expectedly, a sharp object stabbed her as she checked one of her pockets. She groaned and quickly withdrew her hand. There's a tiny wound on her hand, blood slowly dripped down.
Mary went to the sink to wash her wound, then, continued to think of a way to take the knife out. She gently picked up the knife from the side and pulled it out of the pocket.
She put the knife in her right pocket, which is the pants she is currently wearing and continued to take the second bucket filled with water downstairs.
When she was next to Lucius, she placed the bucket down next to him and pulled out the needle and thread. She placed them on top of a towel and took another one to wipe his wounds. She dipped the towel in water and cleaned his wound.
After a while, Mary hung the blood-soaked towel on the bucket's side. She then picked up the needle and placed a string from the thread inside the needle. She tied a knot and slowly moved her hands on Lucius's wounds.
"This might hurt a little."She whispered. Then, began to sew up his wounds.

After she was done, she cleaned her hands with the unused towel and wiped her sweat away with the back of her hand.
She glanced at Lucius sew up wounds and thought.
Even though it's not a good thing for me to do that, at least is not bleeding anymore.
She stared at the towel in her hands, a part of the towel was stained with blood.
"I should have brought another one with me." She sighed.
But...I can still use it, right? Since I can wash it with the water I took earlier. That would be best...I don't want to go on my own again.
She pushed the towel into the bucket and washed it. After it was cleaned, she gently wiped the blood away from Lucius's body. The blood she wiped has both Lucius's and his enemy's blood.
As she reached her hand close to Lucius's eyes, his uninjured eye opened and his hand suddenly grabbed Mary's wrist.
