The whispers came to an end. The room had come to an agreement—I was about to die.
The demon they called Venom started to hiss and shout at me.
"Human, prepare to become my lunch," he said as he pulled out his forked tongue and massaged his beard.

I didn't reply, instead just standing silently, observing his actions. He pulled out a stick and began chanting magic, and a moment later, bolts of lightning appeared from the tips of the stick and attacked me. But before they could reach me, I heard Fahima's warning voice.
