He soon got up and left the room.
They all dug in after thanking valor and hart for the hospitality. The food smelled too good to wait any longer.
Damon grabbed a large slice of meat that looked juicy and grilled to perfection and some bread that had a light drizzle of a yellow color cream on it that gave it a glazed look.
The meat was tasty and seasoned very well and so he was interested in what kind of meat it was.
[Bison hog flesh~a incredibly strong herbivore beast. Mildly aggressive. "It's damn good." Damon thought reading the information.
After finishing up valor showed them where they would be staying for the night. It was in a hut building two blocks down from where they were.
Along the way the streets were lit and many people were out and about. Their were stands everywhere with food and drinks. Kids playing and running everywhere.
"Man, I really need to work on my figure. Even these kids put my body to shame." glee said.
Glee was in shape but he was more slinder than anything, with his white long hair and green eyes. "
Who you telling, I've been feeling bad about my body since we got here." Kimbo said looking at his big belly out in front while he walked.
It wasn't huge but it stuck out in front enough to know he wasn't in good body shape. Despite that, he moved well when fighting.
"Looks like a lot of fun is going down tonight. What's the occasion."Damon asked valor.
"There is no occasion. This is almost an everynight thing. You see them over there. " He said pointing to a small crowd where there were four people lined up in front a large wooden counter. With a man standing to the side watching them.
Stopping for a moment Damon saw all of them pick up a tennis ball sized stone and throw it with one hand hitting a target the size of a small TV that was 60 meters behind the counter in a field.
It crashed into the target and fell to the ground.
"Darn it, I can never seem to break that slab of sand stone." The little black haired boy spoke.
"Keep trying. You will break through in time." Valor said to him while walking by with Damon and everyone.
The young boy disappointed look disappeared as he turned to see valor. "yes sir valor. The little boy responded.
"So, their not having fun, their training." Blane said.
" Yes and no. Some have fun while training and some don't. It just depends. Everyone you see here are training through games so feel free to join in, but I must warn you. My people are very competitive."
"That building right over there will be your stay. Until you all are ready to turn in for the night I recommend a little fun. " Valor said walking away.
Everyone stood around for a few seconds debating on which way to go and what game to try. Damon decided to take a little scroll until he saw something that caught his attention.
It didn't take long as he came to an area in which many people were either struggling or having a difficult time walking. Looking closer Damon saw all of them had on the same kind of steel flipflops as Cane's father.
The blind old man who also was the 5th chief of their city. Thinking back to the old man he didn't seem to have any trouble walking in them. In fact he walked normal. This intrigued Damon greatly as he walked over.
"Hey, Damon right." A older man that looked to be in his mid forties asked.
"Yes, Damon said with a odd face expression as if saying how do you know my name.
" Don't be alarmed everyone in this city knows who you are. We know your entire squad. its something we must know for you all are our guests."
" Thanks for helping our people. It would have been terrible if the chiefs son condition would have worsened before we could get help. We thank you and the hollow souls." The pink haired man said slightly bowing down with a smile.
Damon told him that bowing wasn't necessary at all and that he was just doing what he could to help them while completing the mission.
They talked more and Damon learned the man's name was Tusk. His skin was red in color like many of them but he also had a slight burgundy tint to it.
Just like many of their people his body was well defined. He wore a black cloth belt and linen shorts that stopped above his knees. His eyes were a pink rose color.
To be honest it was kind of difficult for Damon to look at him in the eyes as they could pass for girl eyes because of their color and beauty.
Damon also learned how the game worked with the flipflops. In the area there was a long stationary counter with multiple people on one side.
The game was simple. You get your flipflops from the counter after checking in while also receiving a ticket with a number.
Once your ticket number is called a group of five will line up for a race. Damon got in line and recieved a ticket and a pair of flipflops with instructions on the back.
While waiting with tusk they watched a group line up and as the race began tusk would tell him how it worked as they watched.
Each person would say the magic words on the back of their ticket which was also underneath their flipflops. You'd have to slide them on then say the words which was "Massburden."
Everyone began on the commentators mark. Once starting the match was over within five minutes as a young man around Damon age won.
A few matches later Damons ticket number was called and everyone there applauded him as they knew he was their guest and apart of the squad that helped their people.
Before heading to the area and lining up tusk gave him a few tips. Lining up Damon looked at his opponents while sliding on his pair of flipflops. There was two older men, another boy around his age and a girl as well.
"Alright, first in foremost I want everyone to give our guest another applause." A man spoke with black hair and blue eyes which was the commentator. Afterwards he had everyone to activate their flipflops.
As Damon said the words " Massburden" he tried shuffling his feet a little and in doing so he realized it was tough to even do that.
He knew the flipflops were a weight training tool for the bijou race because Tusk informed him about it.
"These things feel like they weigh a ton." He thought as the commentator yelled to start.
There was only one rule. Whoever gets to the end of the narrow lane which was only twenty meters wins. If no one has reached it within five minutes the closest win.
Veins bulged from Damons legs and feet as his face expression swiftly changed to disturbing one. A face of determination and confusion as it took everything he had to just gather his footing.
His muscles could instantly feel the stress the weight was putting on him but he managed to take half a step. With that half a step he had already felt like it was over. His legs felt too heavy.
"Just, what in the hell. I knew it would be heavy but not to this degree." He thought looking at his opponents who had taken multiple steps to his half of one.
"It appears our guest is having a bit of trouble everyone. Let's encourage him to keep trying. " The commentator spoke outloud.
The crowd began chanting. "Push on, push on,push on."
Damon looked weirdly around for a moment because everyone was being supportive even though he was struggling. Where he was from their would be laughter and mockery. Looking at his opponents again they were encouraging each other and not just competing.
"Hey, whatever energy you're waisting on your upper body let it go." A male voice said turning around. It was the young man with black hair and blue eyes that had won the first match Damon witnessed.
Damon began relaxing his upper body but was stopped.
"No, that's not what I mean. Relaxing will not distribute enough. You must completely let it go or you will not get anywhere. It's not a simple 2000 pounds that weighs down your physical lower half. It's weight on your energy itself." The boy explained quickly and began moving forward again.
Damon was having a hard time understanding what he meant. He had pushed all his normal ki into his legs and feet but it didn't help at all.
He couldn't wrap his mind around it. He was sure his ki could handle a single ton even if it would take all of his ki to be distributed to a certain area within him.
"Damn, this is not as simple as I thought."
