"The Hollow souls it is then." Jolly said.
The next two days passed and sir hughes and Bison had returned. Miss grey met them on the surface in order to let them enter. it didn't take long at all for them to get settled and sir hughes didn't waste any time holding a meeting with everyone in the city.
Sir hughes gained full access to the entire city functions through manual control through Damon but not directly. Damon had to bring sir Hughes within the castle's control room where he was given a title of city head by adding his finger prints and facial features. This was the same control room Damon had to enter to turn on the city as a whole. After gaining the title city head a small stone tablet with a small crystal embedded in the middle of it came out the control panel. this allowed sir hughes to give control to others and after mapping out the city and its main structures he began getting the city into shape through the order of command.
The stone tablet created a small screen that showed sir Hughes everything about the city.
Ding! The city head has been identified.
Ding! you no longer have certain city functions, that power and authority has been removed.
Ding! Malcolm Hughes is now in partial control of obsidian city.
Ding! system city control failsafe is optional. the failsafe gives you the authority to overthrow the city head anytime you choose taking away all of their control power over obsidian city.
Damon looked at the notifications and mentally swiped them away. Shield had already told him he would lose certain city functions when putting someone else in charge. Damon didn't care because it was something he didn't want to deal with anyway. sir hughes now had all of the city functions while Damon's control of the city was now the same amount as jolly.
Sir hughes received a notification through the tablet. "hmmmmm." he pressed a few buttons following the instructions of the tablet and a wall of the room began to shift. behind the wall were thousands of small six inch stone tablets. reading the instructions further he understood what they were for.
"This city, how can all of this be possible." sir Hughes thought to himself thinking about its technology.
Damon and sir Hughes had a long heart to heart before hand. Sir hughes had his own rules and regulations he wanted to implement. Damon was no longer considered a person in power and he was to follow the chain of command like everyone else. he was basically a civilian within his city and would have to listen when orders were given.
Damon didn't mind at all. this is how he wanted it to be. he didn't want to be the one to make decisions for everyone. he knew he was a long way from being a leader, especially a leader of a city.
However the system did protect Damon regardless because anytime he got ready he could take the city functions back and dethrone sir hughes or anyone that was in power when it came to controlling the city.
Damon took it further than he had to and gave up the castle as well. He planned to start from the bottom and whenever it was his time to lead he would do so. Sir hughes didn't care about his living quarters but Damon insisted.
Sir hughes tasked bison with guarding the city. It was Bison's original position when he was on planet Hevot. Bison gained control of all of the security functions of the city with a small tablet given to him by sir Hughes. each tablet could be programmed for a person to give them authorization for specific tasks that needed to be done in the city. it was also a communication device as well.
the small stone tablets become their main device to use for communication. one was set to be given to each family. anyone who had one individually were the adults of sir hughes choice.
in one day there was now more control and stability within the obsidian city. Bison had his fellow wolf pack on guard at every entrance and in rotation. their main base was the prison jack and kimbo were confined. they were released and were allowed to join everyone else. when Damon was unconscious Jolly and copper made sure the two of them ate while imprisoned. jolly also deactivated the mental confinement torture Damon had active back then as well so Jack and kimbo minds weren't destroyed.
Nurse heart already had her own building to run which was her very own medical Bay. Damon and jolly had assigned her the building when they first got there. like before when Damon had his first meeting he had assigned miss grey to be head of the school and sir Hughes agreed with this after finding out.
Damon and people his age that were in their final years did not have to go to school. they were to be a part of the guild. Calvus and a few younger ones like Bay and mumsy were the exception to joining a guild because of their skills but they still had to attend school as well.
shortly after sir hughes return obsidian city began operating like a real city on an everyday basis. Old man butcher put together hunting parties mixed with soul masters and mongrels. Damon would join in on the hunts as well just to help out.
they were currently hunting and he was in a party led by a female mongrel named. Birdie. she was in her high twenties. Her bob cut black hair and her ivory colored skin was admired by many. she was cool and down to earth normally but when it came to hunting she changed into a completely different person.
"if you get a clear shot I suggest you take it now." Damon shouted out to Jack. Damon had entrapped three large boar beasts within a cage of lightning. He was commanded to be a trapper when it came to hunting and unfortunately Jack and kimbo had been forced to pull their weight around the city. since Jack was an archer he decided to help with hunting.
He was assigned to birdie's hunting group. Damon didn't like it but there was nothing he could do about it. "shoot Damn it, I can't hold them all day ya know." he shouts again.
six green arrows of energy were shot piercing each boar in the head twice. their skin and skulls were tough so even though they had been pierced the boar beasts were still alive but down. Damon closed the electric cage in from all sizes shocking them while they were on the ground bleeding out. he then took out his soul dagger and sliced underneath their necks cleanly before their life faded.
A large fowl humanoid beast was circling them from high in the sky. it had green and red eight foot wings that were full of feathers with a long hard looking yellow feathery tail and strong talons. it's face resembled a type of hawk mixed with a parrot. it's black and red sharp beak stretched out a foot and a half from its face then bent down with a slight curl.
the beast flew down making slight gusts of wind while landing a few meters from Damon and Jack. it suddenly morphed into an ivory skin young woman.
"great job boys. that makes thirteen of them we have caught and handled." the woman and hunting leader named Birdie says.
feeling a vibration within her armor she realized she was receiving a call.
"you two have been called to go back to the city and meet sir Hughes at the guild hall on Sir Bishop orders." she said to Damon and jack.
I will get these three out of here and find the others to continue hunting."
Damon and jack were currently hunting on the other side of village city. heading east so it would take them nearly two hours to get back to beast free forest on foot. Damon wasted no time using his static jump. Jack unfortunately had to run normally.
He managed to make it to beast free forest in an hour and a half shaving thirty minutes off while Jack made it in a little over two hours.
All people their ages including the mongrels were outside the guild hall. there was a huge window at the top of the building in which sir hughes occasionally looked out as more people joined the crowd.
"were missing a few it seems. oh nevermind their not too far from here now." sir hughes thought to himself as he fingers were placed on his desk.
"Only 42 guild members that's going to be an incredible disadvantage against other guilds but we will grow in time." sir hughes thought as he focused on how many of them were waiting outside per his instructions.
after a few more minutes of waiting sir hughes walked out.
"As you all are aware this place is our very own guild hall. many of you I know and many of you I will get to know.
this building will be your life for the next four years.
