Damon asked shield if it was possible for him to do whatever he did for monsoon so Jolly could speak with his other half,but it wasn't possible. It took great power for shield to make that connection happen with monsoon,him and Damon. Jolly's dreams were always cryptic, he could see a silhouette of someone he felt connected to him in many of his dreams,but that was all.
After sitting down for a while talking within the replica of beast free forest, they both decided to test out their new powers in a battle with no soul beasts.
Before Damon got ready for a fight he decided to increase his stats, especially after Jolly read out his own stats to him earlier.

He decided to use at least half, because he wasn't sure how the points were obtained. Damon added ten points to vitality, stamina,speed, agility and strength.

He suddenly felt a rush of ki throughout his body. he could feel the ki add a ton of difference in areas of his body. with Damon new way of distributing ki, he didn't have to push the ki to a certain area in his body anymore,wherever he added stats at were permanent,therefore the ki added will stay there for good.
he noticed he could add on to the permanent ki distributed by pushing more ki into a certain area like always,but it only worked with his speed and strength and once he released the ki, it would return to his original stat.
They both faced each other after distancing themselves.
"ready to get whooped my friend." Jolly asked with a smirk.
"As if." Damon responds with a serious face while putting his locs in a ponytail and retracting his soul beast.
Shoo! shoo!
they both bolted at each other at great speed. Jolly threw a kick while Damon threw a punch.
Boom! Boom ! Bang ! Bang! The sounds of them exchanging blows could be heard at a short distance. Damon's punches seemed to have more power,but Jolly's kicks were faster.
As Damon threw a right hook in which Jolly blocked, Damon ducked and moved to the side for an uppercut, an electrical current wrapped itself around his fist as he swung it with tenacity.
Seeing this Jolly mixed a jump with a slight stomp, jumping away while shooting roots out the ground at Damon's legs. these roots were much different from his previous power. they were jet black vibrating with a red flaky aura and way faster.
They grabbed on to Damon's feet and slithered upwards at great speed wrapping up half his body.
Damon suddenly felt his energy slowly depleting as the roots became tighter and the red aura pulsated faster. the vines and roots were leeching his energy away by the second.
The fight had just begun and Damon was already losing he thought to himself.
Jolly dashed back forward preparing a kick to Damon's upper torso,but once he got close enough an extremely bright flash of light penetrated his eyes as he lost his sight making him pause his movement.
Oculus flash!
"Down pour"! Heavy rain appeared above them in a ten meter circular radius.
"firebolt" ! Dark clouds formed in the air as deep rumbles were heard. a blue and purplish light could be seen generating from the storm cloud with crackling sounds ringing throughout the area.
Jolly couldn't see or hear, the crackling and rumbles of the thunder were too loud. so he did the only thing he could do at the moment. Roots and dark vines shot out the ground wrapping around Jolly swiftly hardening and cocooning himself within it. he couldn't tell what type of attack Damon was doing without his eyesight, but knew with all the rumbling and crackling, it had to be a powerful attack.
"he's really going all out, we were supposed to be testing out our strength not trying to kill each other. Jolly thought.
Crackle Crackle Boom!
Roots were split in two instantly and blasted away as Damon was now free to move again.
After the powerful impact was felt and Jolly realized he was ok, he slowly reversed the cocoon he was in. as the roots and vines retracted, he could hear running steps heading his way.
his eyesight had returned to normal as he opened them just in time to see a fist heading his way in which he quickly counters flipping his elbow up hitting Damon's forearm.
Jolly then goes for a sweeping kick knocking Damon off his feet and on his back. roots shot up from both sides of Damon attempting to wrap him up like mummy and pin him down,but he quickly rolls backwards using the momentum of his fall.
As Damon rolled back to his feet he activated static jump. he knew the distance of them were too close. an electric surge shot out the bottom of his feet destroying his boots as he propelled forward like he had on a pair of jet boots.
Bang!
Damon connected a straight right jab that was covered in a light glow of electricity. it was a light punch , but enough to send Jolly back a few feet.
Static! static! pop! pop!
Jolly attempted to dash back forward after the initial punch,but was surprised he couldn't move an inch as static popped all over his body.
Jolly tried to block Damon's attack, but with the extra boost Damon got from his static jump, he was too slow.
Damon smiled while, sprinting forward thinking how his simple,but effective tactic had worked well. Jolly was in a state of paralysis at the moment due to his soaked clothes and body. Damon's Down pour was still active and would remain active as long as he wanted it too.
It took 20 ki points to use and only covered a 10 meter radius. the down fall of it was, once he activated it in a certain area it would stay there and only there raining in that one spot. he had been baiting jolly to remain in the radius of his rain after he casted it, knowing water/rain was a great conductor for electricity.
Bang ! Bang ! Bang !
ugh,ugh,ugh!
jolly slightly grunts in discomfort as Damon rained down more static punches. Damon tried his best not to overdo his ki static punches, by only putting just enough demonic external ki into his strikes.
He didn't want to really hurt Jolly, but as his strikes continued it became more difficult to control the amount of external ki he was adding with his punches.
every static punch increased Jolly's paralysis by seconds at a time as he got pushed back further.
" nice one Damon, but I'm still in this." Jolly said internally as more fists connected with is stomach and ribcages.
Jolly eyes flashed red. Damon suddenly felt a shock wave of energy burst out of Jolly's body. The wave of red flaky energy crashed into Damon sending him flying twelve meters away. Jolly's eyes flashed red once more as Damon was flying backwards as the nearby trees came alive shooting out their branches at a great speed.
"hmph this type of magic along with the systems help is remarkable Jolly thought to himself." the flash of red energy he used came from his roots sapping Damon's energy earlier. Jolly could turn the energy he stole into his own, but could only release that energy as an explosive wave.
Damon twisted sideways activating static jump while in the air thrusting him upwards, but the branches and vines followed. seeing this his he created two lightning whips by activating crackle. he swung the whips slicing through the branches with ease, but they multiplied by two with every strike.
Damon was all smiles as he cut and sliced while pushing more ki into his arms and to his static jump increasing his speed. he was currently static jumping from tree to tree while defending off Jolly's attack.
taking a look at his remaining ki, Damon knew he had to end the battle soon, but he also calculated it was enough left to make a great push to win.
He bolted towards a tree and blasted off of it heading straight towards Jolly who was twirling his fingers controlling the vines.
He cast down pour once again and was surprised. he thought the first one he activated would just simply disappear or relocate,but instead they merged increasing the radius to twenty meters. "nice." he muttered while shooting downward like a rocket with branches chasing behind him.
Seeing the rain increase and reaching his area, Jolly quickly started moving away noticing how far it could reach.
"moving away won't help." Damon shouted as a much bigger cloud formed with heavy rain, merging with a downpour. "yes it worked ." he said in relief.
Damon activated cloud control while guessing it would also merge with the dark clouds that were already out because of down pour and he was right. cloud control used 75 of his ki pool and covered 40 meters, but with the merge of two downpours it was now 60 meters in a circular radius. Damon eyes crackled with static as he commanded the cloud to follow Jolly's every move.
Boom!
Damon landed on the ground missing Jolly as he continued to move, he turned around to face the incoming branches he knew were still behind him and defended himself once again. Damon still had the whips active, because his ki pool had been hit hard, if he cancelled it he would have to expel more ki to reactivate it and didn't have much left.
"I think this bastard is trying to tire me out." Damon guessed.
Jolly had a serious face expression at the moment as he dashed through the forest. he was trying to figure out a few things regarding his new power.
the storm cloud and rain followed him like a plague of locusts, unlike Damon's part of the system, his part didn't give him advance information on his magic abilities, the few attacks he did was a mimic of his previous power.
he was truly going by instinct rather than having a plan. he noticed by using the same type of attacks he would have used with his regular mana came with different advantages he didn't have before.
the multiplying branches and energy draining roots were both a surprise to him. once he felt a rush of foreign energy flowing into him after the roots made contact with Damon he had an idea of where it came from. he then tried to use that same energy and form it into an attack, but the only thing came from it was a dispersing wave, which helped him greatly.
Jolly tried visualizing and coming up with a way for him to turn the battle around,but he knew he didn't have the time. with all the thinking he was doing his concentration broke away from the branches that were still attacking Damon which gave Damon a moment to break away from them once more using static jump.
at this point Damon was barely keeping up with the branches, they had multiplied to an overwhelming number. Damon had scratches and small cuts all over his body.
"firebolt is too dangerous to use against Jolly." he told himself while shooting backwards with a static jump.
Damon too was having issues, he didn't want to over do it and accidentally hurt Jolly to a severe degree.
he noticed he didn't really have a good grasp on coating a non-lethal amount of electricity in his strikes as he punched Jolly while he was in paralysis.
Every time he would go in for a strike he felt he was using a percentage of ki that could be lethal along with Jolly being soaked by the rain and so he did his best to damper it before it made contact with him.
It proved to be more difficult than he thought, and was happy when jolly blew him away with that energy pulse, because he didn't wanna stop punching.
Damon had a moment in which while fighting Jolly he thought about Taylen and felt his anger rise with each strike. it wasn't until he was hit with Jolly's counter move, he was snapped back to reality.
Jolly stopped controlling the branches as Damon flew backwards. seeing this Damon cancelled static jump and landed on the ground.
They both were once again face to face in the pouring rain ten meters apart.
They both looked at each other with smiles.
"so are we going to finish this or what." Jolly asked with confidence.
"No, I think we should resume once we are both better with controlling our powers."
Jolly didn't expect for Damon to call it off. in truth Jolly was grateful he did, because he wasn't getting anywhere during the fight besides being able to prolong it.
"so you noticed my dilemma I see." Jolly spoke while relaxing his tensed face expression walking up to Damon giving him a fist bump with a smirk.
" ha both of our dilemmas to be honest, I mean these powers are new to both of us and I'm not going to lie I had a bit of a controlling issue with mine. I mean the actual fighting part of it." Damon spoke.
They gave each other tips about their sparring session while Damon tried out his recovery skills. he activated recovery mist and they both sat down as a light misty rain speeded up their recovery.
"your power is amazing and all,but man I'm sure you're going to get tired of getting wet." Jolly says while stripping out of his soaked clothes leaving his underwear on.
"Actually for some reason, I love it, it feels like." Damon paused for a few seconds.
"like it's a part of me, an extension of my body, I'm sure it has everything to do with the friend I have locked up somewhere in my subconscious." Damon spoke.
"well you should get some boots that can handle those big ass electrified feet of yours." Jolly said looking at Damon's toes and the sole of his feet laughing.
they began to laugh and joke around for a bit, before Damon's stomach growled loudly interrupting them. They both were very hungry. Jolly pulled out a set of extra clothes for himself along with a big bag of seasoned dried meat from his storage pouch.
" we can share this, but I have no water." Jolly said after grabbing a hand full of dried beast meat and passing the bag to Damon.
"no problem there's a spring and river here as well, let's go." Damon says.
After exiting the battle arena Jolly decided he had enough of walking and summoned Bronco. The strong majestic forest crafted looking beast nudged its head under Jolly's arm encouraging him to give him a few pats and so Jolly did. " I missed ya too Bronco, I know you were worried about me earlier, but I'm ok buddy." he spoke to bronco patting his head.
What Jolly was referring to was when he was near death battling Taylen and his friends. He felt his soul beast worries through his soul core. soul beasts could tell when their soul masters were in danger through connection of the soul cores.
Jolly and Damon mounted Bronco and Just before he commanded him to move a notification popped up in Jolly's line of view.
