Chapter 28 - Chapter 28

SHE'D been suspicious. She didn't ask him anything because she figured it was something she didn't need to know, that it was something minor. If she'd known he was going to leave the mansion, she'd have gone with him or tried to stop him. Why the fuck would he do something like that?!

She'd just wanted to look out the window because she was feeling bored, but instead, her eyes landed on Dr. Holloway's car.

She was pissed. She had a bad feeling about everything. She had a feeling that she knew where he was going.

Sapphire stood right in place and continued looking out the window in hopes of catching a glimpse of Dr. Holloway incase he came back anytime soon. He needed to tell her what he knew. How could Timothy tell him about his plans and not her?

She was definitely not going to be nice when she confronts that man.

Meanwhile, Timothy knew where he was immediately he got out the car. He knew how he was the first time he came to the mansion and why. He also remembered Roxanne. He wasn't going to be received nicely, he knew. At least he'd be able to see his sister.

He walked as quietly as he could inside. Nobody seemed to be alert, though to be fair, everyone was probably asleep.

If Lord Clementine wasn't such a--Anyway, they could've attacked them tonight. They could've done something, but nope, he had to offer himself to get his sister. He briefly wondered if Sapphire noticed his absence yet and what she'd be thinking. Maybe if the vampires were aware of his disappearance, they'd do something. Either ways, Sapphire would be safe at least.

He walked to stand in front of the door of the mansion, sure that his sister wasn't going to be anywhere else. He stood quietly, looking around.

"I thought werewolves were supposed to have super hearing and stuffs," he muttered, wondering why nothing was happening.

Well, he didn't need to wonder much because at that moment, he heard mocking laughter behind him, he started to turn but got hit in the head before he could do anything.

"So. Give me a good reason why I shouldn't burn you into ashes right now, Dr. Holloway?"

Sapphire was standing in front of the doctor, a ball of fire in her hand and a fierce look on her face as she faced him when he walked into her room. She didn't even need to go out to look for him when he returned to the mansion. He'd knocked on her door and she had no problems with letting him in.

"I don't--" the doctor backed the door in surprise and alarm, hands raised up.

"Where did you take Timothy and why did he go alone?" she spat. "I didn't come here to be left in the dark on things and to let him get into danger with no plan, from what I can see."

"Calm down, Miss Vanity. Let me explain myself, please."

Sapphire wasn't joking about her threat. She wasn't some killer, but if there was a need, she'd get things done.

"Um," Dr. Holloway began, not as alarmed as before, but still cautious. "He told me he wanted to save his sister... I told him it was a bad idea, but he wouldn't listen. All I had to do was drive him to the mansion."

"That idiot," she cursed, but she wouldn't let up. "Why did you agree? Are you telling me you did it willingly without getting anything in return?"

Dr. Holloway told her all that they talked about, obviously in an attempt to cool her down. It didn't work, unfortunately. The second hand had fire in it now.

"Call your dear Lord Clementine or else, I'm burning down this building with you and everyone else that's in it."

The half-vampire's widened as he registered her words. "But--"

She took a threatening step towards the doctor as she interrupted him. "Tell him that if he doesn't get his people to come and help me get Timothy and fight those werewolves, he'll have some dead vampires and otherwise to deal with, and a burnt house."

"You wouldn't do that."

She smiled, her flames rising, making the room hotter than usual. "Want to try me?"

Timothy had a headache. It didn't take long for that to be the last thing that he noticed, because he froze when he saw a hand on his.

He moved in surprise. He looked around the well lit room and turned to meet the eyes of his smiling sister. There were no ropes, no bruises on her that he could find. He was momentarily shocked but quickly recovered when she hugged him.

"You're okay," he whispered, his response a few sniffs from his sister.

The moment didn't last long because his sister pinched him by the cheeks with an annoyed look on her face.

"What did I do?" Timothy asked, offended.

"Why are you here? And alone nonetheless."

He didn't say anything to that, but he did give her a smile.

"Did Sapphire say you should come?"

"Well..."

He shook his head and that earned him another pinch.

"She's going to be so pissed,"Diane said."What about those vampires?"

After Timothy told her everything, she just gave out a sigh as she stood up from his side.

"Well, I guess we have nothing to do but to meet with these people and see what they want to talk about."

"Talk about?" Timothy asked, standing up from the bed he'd been laying on since.

"Yup."

He quietly followed her out the door, letting her tell him all she'd been through, about her meeting Rowen and how that was her room. Almost everywhere they turned had someone standing guard and expressionless.

They stepped into some room which Timothy didn't care to properly look at. His sister was around, why should he be worried about anything else? He was able to notice the round table in the middle of the room that a few persons were sat. His eyes unintentionally went to the yellow eyed Roxanne who gave him a nod to which he returned. She didn't seem mad.

Behind Roxanne were the twins. He wondered why they were even standing when there were empty chairs. They gave him fierce looks which Timothy avoided. He didn't have time for that now, though it was expected.

The scenery was almost similar to the one he'd seen at the vampires' mansion the first time he'd been there.

Seated at the table, he could see a few persons that had some semblance to Roxanne. At the head table was an older looking man with white hairs all over his face.

"Timothy Bishop. We've been expecting you."

Timothy wanted to groan at how everyone was calling him his full names. They could just call him Timothy or Tim. Gosh.

"Would you two like to have a seat?" the older man asked, standing up.

They both sat down beside each other as the older man introduced himself as a Ronald Maverick. He was Roxanne's grandfather.

The others at the table started introducing themselves. Two as Roxanne's parents, which didn't surprise Timothy and one that was a beta, and another that was a witch.

He didn't want to know them past their names, really. He wanted to get it all over with.

"So. What exactly do you want?"
