'I reckon we shall stay at an inn here; it is dangerous to travel through the south after the sun has set.' Delilah said.
'You are right. But I do not know any inns around. Do you think we should take Tripp's room?' Ansley asked.
'That man never does anything for nothing. Surely he has some odd request he wants to make.' Delilah was right.
Tripp was not a nice man, and he never did anything for the fun of it. He always tried to get the best he could from everything.
Given the situation of things in the south, Ansley and his half-sister, Delilah did not find a suitable inn to rest their heads for the night. So they settled for a room in a tavern close to Tripp's abode.
The room they got for three pieces of bronze coins was small. There was a small window on a wall and the window looked out to the road where men and women alike sat around a fire and drank.
