That day Meera (Deep's personal and company secretary) had a lot to do as she was all on herself in work! Cause Deep had had to attend few business meetings! She could understand it was being a bit difficult for him as well as now Ms.Tara wasn't on work and he has to handle things both the ways! So he was attending the meeting she has to, as well! The whole day, she felt tiresome, and the only time she took some time off was for lunch and then few coffee breaks!
It was almost evening when she finished all of her works and was heading for a meeting which needed to be done! She needed to confirm a deal which Deep was supposed to actually but couldn't! And so she hurriedly headed out of her cabin with few files in hand when she bumped up into someone, ending up having those files fall down, and the guy didn't even apologized her and just showed his hand as if she would just let it go by that! And soon she realised he somehow had came out of the Chairperson's room, probably Tara's!!
"Hey wait!!" she yelled following him after taking up all those files, which he probably didn't care to hear on, and when she finally paced up, standing in front of him, he stopped, narrowing his brows!
With a quick scan, she took a note of his way of dressing! He stood right there, with a long white t-shirt and blue jeans with black shirt on, unbuttoned, a mask and a cap of black as well! And he was holding a file as well!!
"Out of my way lady!!" his way of speaking didn't entertain her though he sounded calm and unbothered!
"Not yet mister! I need to know who you are and what are you here for!!" Meera demanded!
She noticed him roll his eyes as if she was the one disturbing him, "Look! No one is allowed to this floor except few officials! I wonder how could you come straight up here!!"
"I perhaps lost my way!!" he said unbothered which actually annoyed her!
"And where did you actually wanted to go?!" she asked with a raised brow!
"Don't you think it's none of your business?" he finally looked straight into her eyes as he questioned!
For a moment she became dazed, unknown of whether his way of speaking made her so or the light blue in his eyes!
Meera took a deep breath, "See mister! I assume you didn't hear it properly, so I say you again! No one is allowed here, and if I may know what are you here for, I might help you get done soon!" she tried to be calm though her entire day tired her to her death!
"And it is MY business cause I am responsible to answer someone up as well!"
The guy sighed, "I came here to deliver something to Mr.Deep Nethin!"
Meera nodded thoughtfully, so he was a delivery guy, "But the cabin you ended up in wasn't his!!"
"That is what I meant when I said I lost my way!!"
This arrogant man!! He would have just handed them in the reception!! She sighed, she didn't have time for this though, "Hand me those! I am his secretary!"
He looked thoughtful before he handed them to her with a nod, "Thanks! Sorry for the disturbance!" he meant it for the fall of those files!
Meera just gave him a nod as she watched him make his way out, with a shook she carried on her work!
The guy as he made his way out of the company soon called someone as he informed! "I did it!"
"Good!" the other side responded!
"I'll inform you once I track them down completely!!"
"I know I could rest on you!! Keep it up!" and just with that, the person on the other side ended the call!
The guy looked at the company for the last time before he left the place!
While Meera after the client meeting, headed towards Deep's cabin to put the file she recieved on his table, and when she opened the glass door without knowledge that he was about to come out, she again bumped into someone and this time she didn't let those files fall down, well she was at stake!
Anyway, Deep held her hand and a sigh followed, "Careful Meera!!" he said out calmly as he pulled her up!
"I'm sorry! I didn't notice!" she said with a shook as she stepped away, "When did you return?"
"Just a moment ago, I visited just to check if I recieved anything!!"
Meera nodded before she realised he did, "You did! Here, take this!!"
Deep took the file and checked it was what he expected! As usual, board members sent the file of updates, but he wasn't sure who took the charge of delivering this time! "Who delivered it?"
"The....delivery guy!"
His brows narrowed, "Whom did he belong to?"
Meera shrugged, "I don't think he belongs to anyone! What is the file about?"
"How could they send the updates with someone unknown!"
Meera became thoughtful, "They wouldn't! It's my mistake that I didn't question his identity as I didn't know what was the file about!"
Deep shrugged, "It's okay!" he said with a smile!
"Everything went well with the client meeting, and we could sign the agreement anytime!!"
Deep smiled, "I'm glad you took care of it! Cause trust me I am way too tired!!"
Meera chuckled, "Well gotta go boss, my duty time is finished!!"
"Hey wait!" Deep pulled her hand as he stopped her while she looked back at him with questioning eyes!
"What about the thing I asked for?!"
"Ah...!" Meere exclaimed as she remembered it, "Wait!" she said as her hands slid into her handbag and she soon took out a box which she handed him!
Deep had a huge smile after he opened it, "This is the edition I was waiting for!" he exclaimed as he shut the box, "Thanks Meera! Love you!!"
She rolled her eyes, "Isn't it unfair Mr.Nethin?!"
"You love me but gift that to someone else!!"
Deep laughed as he slid the box into the pockets of his coat!
"Well who's she?!"
"Not yet huh!!" he said with a chuckle, "By the way, what about the delivery thing?!"
"Oh yeah! I forgot to say you, I've sent it! But it might take two more days for it to reach even with the fast delivery, as for the location is far away from here!!"
Deep gave her a thoughtful nod, "But who stays there?!" she wondered!
"Someone!! Well gotta go! Thanks for the help!!"
"Hey wait!" this time it was her who stopped him! "I need no thanks! Provide me something beneficial!!"
"Meera...! Only last year have you had your salary doubled!!"
"Atleast a bonus boss!!"
"Will see!!"
"Deep!!"
His hand reached up caressing her hair, "I just don't want anyone to judge you Meera! And by the way, I took care of the donation, so do not worry!"
Her faded smiled found its way back as soon as she heard him say it, her eyes lit up, "Thank you boss!!"
He patted her head, "Thanks for today! I know it was quite tiring for you as well! Rest well!"
"Only to get tired again?!" she teased!
Deep shook his head giving her a smile as he made his way out of his cabin, after placing the file on his table so that he could check it tomorrow!!
Meera cleaned his cabin arranging everything he messed up this morning in hurry, before she checked everything once again and left the place!!
While Deep drove to home, he couldn't have a meet with Aarohi today as he was too busy! But he was sure, he would make her day tomorrow! A smile curved his lips as he thought about it!!
He thanked Meera again, inwardly, as she took out some time to buy the thing!! He could only trust on her for this rather any other, he didn't really trust anyone considering his professional circle, while Meera was an exception as she wasn't only his personal secretary or the company secretary but also his friend! The friend who studied along with him in University and the one whom he requested to join in this company!
He still remembered those days! He was just twenty one back then when he stepped into this profession, with no experience! Yet he didn't step back cause he couldn't see Tara taking much stress!! That time when Meera was searching for a job, he requested her to take over the company secretary's job as it was empty back then! He literally could say it out, without her, it would have been difficult for him to manage everything, and when he became the Managing Director, he made her his personal secretary! Even Tara trusted her a lot!
He was glad that she didn't take anything serious when he was just appointed as MD and she as his PS, and their friendly nature made so many doubt her! While even he couldn't do anything cause many fingers were pointed at him as well considering his inexperience!!
Everything went well after sometime and he was happy that she didn't leave him in middle! Everytime he thinks about her, he feels glad that he had her as his friend!!
As he drove, he took out the box from his coat, staring it! Aarohi would definitely love it, he thought with a smile!!
