Aryan finally was done arranging the tent, as he stepped back, he bagan to take a look at everything, and it made him feel like he was having a camp! He admired his own work as he kept stepping back and back, looking ahead until he bumped into a body, startled turned back, but was about to fall back as his leg slipped!
Only if Tara had not held his hand, having him seem to be flying in air! The scene made them both remember of the similiar moment!
Is this how she felt when he held her in such way?! Aryan wondered as they stared into each other!
This time it wasn't Snoopy to disturb but she, herself! As Tara suddenly hissed in pain, pulling him up forcefully before having her hand free!
But he noticed the glimpse of tears in her eyes as she began to shake her hand and that's when he realised her palms suffered burnt wounds!
"I'm sorry....!" he hurried to her while she said nothing!
She shake her hand in air as if shoving off the pain, before turning to him, "It's alright!" she assured!
Aryan took a brief look before he believed she was okay!
"What's this all?! When did you do this?!" she questioned!
"Probably when you were asleep!"
Tara watched him leave her with a smile as he now reached to take care of the meat and fish! It was well cooked so he just then served it for both of them!
"When did you go out?!" she asked again as she watched him carefully serve the pieces of cooked meat, and she believed it was delicious! The visual and aroma states itself!
Aryan with a chuckle shook his head, "How can I go out leaving you alone! I have told someone to help me delever it to here!"
Tara frowned, confused who it was! She knew only a few from here while he knew no one! And all she guessed was that the both men whom she said to get out might have helped! Tara sighed, she knew they were nice but she also knew that she didn't do any nice for them! "I shouldn't have done that!"
No matter how much hurting it was to see the paintings burn, she still liked them, when she first saw them, all she saw was their kindness, which she couldn't ignore!
Aryan smiled, "Sometimes all you need to think about is yourself!!" he now turned to her, "That isn't being selfish but just taking care of yourself!!"
Tara watched him, not knowing why was he so calm with this issue! Even that night, he didn't say anything or scold her!
"By the way, these are from your favourite restaurant!" Aryan smiled as he then took hold of both the plates, making his way to the tree, before sitting down, leaning against the tree! Waiting for her to join!
Tara watched him briefly before deciding to join him as now Snoopy followed her as well! That thing seemed to have liked the way how the dish smelled, as she can see it was excited!
As she took a seat beside him, she saw him now feeding Snoopy, and the little creature looked so cute while eating, it even licked Aryan's hand, that seeing it she almost had to suppress her smile!
"What about the tools?!"
"I happened to see them that day, in the basement!!" Aryan shrugged as he said it!
Tara with a smile took a bite, immediately praising him for the efforts he put in, inward!
"Why?!"
Aryan halted to look at her, "Are you not happy?!" he wondered!
"I...am! But what was the need?!" she shook her head as she took another bite!
"Why are you like this?!"
"Who needs reasons to be happy??" he scoffed as he continued to feed Snoopy!
Tara watched him silently, "You both suddenly make ME feel like a middle stone!!"
Aryan laughed without looking at her, "All thanks to the food!"
"Even him helping me was for making you happy!!" he turned to her briefly as he said it before continuing to feed the little puppy! "I think he does understands us!!" Aryan wondered!
She kept watching him until with a sigh she pierced a piece of meat with knife before holding it out for him with the fork!
Aryan watched her soundless! "You're never gonna eat that way!!" she said with a sigh again! He laughed briefly before accepting her offer, and as soon as he tasted the dish, he let out a sigh of relief, while she continued to cut him another piece!
"Ah.... it's delicious! I liked it!!" he exclaimed as he shook his head with a smile, his hands now caressing and patting Snoopy's head!
"Shouldn't it be me who should say that?!" she scoffed looking down the plate on her lap!
Aryan laughed, "You aren't gonna praise me anyway, are you?!"
Though she didn't look at him, she was sure he wasn't looking at her as well, all he focused was on HER pet!!
And suddenly as if hearing her, he slowly turned his head to face her with a smile, while his hand still caressed Snoopy while it started licking off his plate which Aryan had placed down for it!!
All she thought of was just to focus on what she was doing, and when she was about to hold her hand out for him to have a bite, he immediately opened his mouth like a kid which halted her, and suddenly looking at him she laughed, which slowly faded away turning into a slight smile!
While Aryan looked at her confused, she recalled the moments from the past! Her father used to feed her as well, whenever they had a camp here! And surprisingly everything seemed to restart, as she even remembered herself feeding her puppy back then! And his actions today just made her remember herself!
Aryan's brows narrowed with that mouth still open, "What?!"
Tara shook her head with a smile before she helped him have the barbecued meat!
Aryan then watched her making larger pieces into small-small ones for him and her as well! In silence, she seemed to be focusing on her work while he just focused on her! A smile crept over his face before he suddenly leaned in, planting a soft kiss on her cheek!
Tara who knew his gaze was completely settled on her tried not to focus on him but everything went on pause when he kissed her, her grip over the fork and knife loosening bit by bit as she halt!
As Aryan with a smile pulled himself away slowly, she blinked, swallowed, not knowing how to react, hence she remained so, still!! Before swallowing down the whatever feeling that was swirling inside, she put in more pressure as she divided the pieces! When she was done, she held it out for him again, while this time he didn't immediately took it in, and just watched her with a smile! "You know you look pretty when you try to avoid me!!"
Yeah, avoided! She might be even more pretty now!!
Tara rolled her eyes, shifting her gaze from him, making him chuckle! "Yeah you look more pretty now!!" he said as he just took the piece of fish she had cut for him, into his mouth!
He might have lied to her, that he was capable of seeing past memories! He actually was capable of hearing thoughts! And suddenly, out of no reason, she thought of her mother! Even she used to understand her feeling without them being spoken out!
A faint smile took over her, it might be the parent's thing!!
"Even this tastes nice!!" his words grabbed her attention.
Tara watched him now enjoying what he was chewing on. Why was he behaving like a kid, all of a sudden?!
She just shook her head deciding to taste some as well and they both ate together enjoying the sunset! When they were done, they just washed their hands, and he put off the cooking fire! It was twilight now and slowly they can see the darkness surrounding! The bonfire he had then arranged for helped them to have a nice view of the lake as they were seated beside, leaning against the tree! Snoopy was happily already asleep in Tara's lap as she caressed it to sleep!
They both looked ahead the view in silence until she took a deep breath, "Why are you making me remember everything all over again?! In a.... different way?!"
Aryan shrugged, "I might just be doing what you thought I would do!!"
Tara chuckled as she now let her head rest on his shoulder! Her eyes shut as soon as she let herself fall!
Aryan smiled, "You can sleep if you want, as you see, there's a tent!!"
"And what about you?!" she asked with her eyes still shut!
"I can stay here!"
"Wanna date with the cold of night?!"
Aryan chuckled!
"It's enough for two when it used to be enough for three!"
He knew as he saw, it was big enough!! "Yet, you might feel uncomfortable!"
She said no more to that, "Let us stay like this for a bit more!" she requested as she snuggled closer now linking her hands with his arm!
"As you wish!" he said with a smile, and just saw the night becoming young! There was silence everywhere but he liked it in a way! Paying attention to her breath unconsciously, which was steady! As if that calmed him, he shut his eyes!
However dusk was falling rapidly as time passed by and Tara just decided to get to sleep on his request!
Getting into the tent, she gently lay Snoopy on the sleeping pad before she lay beside it! While Aryan zipped the tent after putting off the fire, turned to face her! "Are you sure you're comfortable?!"
She patted on the pad, beside her, indicating him to just think no more! He with a shrug lay down beside her while she just gave him a brief look before turning away, her hand now resting on Snoopy, who was long lost in sleep!
Aryan watched her back in silence before he just covered them all with sheets! When he was about to turn away as well, her hand reached for his, holding his wrist, she let him hug her, which came to him by surprise! He just let her do so, deciding not to turn away yet!
And after a minute, she just turned away from her pet, facing him, snuggling closer as her arms surrounded his body! He just smiled before embracing back, patting her back, sending her to sleep!
"Thank you!!" he heard her whisper! Aryan said nothing!
While Tara was on the edge of tearing up, despite everything was fine and a smooth ride, her heart suddenly was a chaos! Suddenly images of him fighting with those men that night flashed, she only wished for his safety now and hoped her uncle was taking care of it! All whom she had to trust on was that man!!
'I wish I could stay by your side forever!' she said to herself as she moved further closer to him, and he just hugged her back after a pat! His every gentle pat on forehead calmed her down, spreading peace within her and before she knew it, she was asleep!!
