Emily woke up with a banging sensation spreading from her forehead to the back of her head. She opened her eyes to see an unfamiliar room, and her throat parched as she tried to recall anything at all.
Just when she was about to sit up, Tessa noticed Emily and she came to help her. "Hey, hey, take it easy!!", she said, coming forward to help her.
"Where am I?", she asked, her voice raspy as her throat was parched. " You are in the hospital Em!", Tessa said, pouring water into a glass cup.
"Was it that bad?", Emily asked, "Here you go!", Tessa said as Emily took the glass cup from her outstretched hand. " It could have been worse if the paramedics didn't come on time!", Tessa continued.
Pausing for a while, Emily asked a question that pissed Tessa off. "Did Lucas come with you?", she asked, expecting Tessa to ignore her.
She was surprised however to see Tessa answering the question. Tessa, who lacked sleep and was not in the mood for talk, plainly answered Emily till she realized the question she was asking.
"Yeah, he came with Craig and he stayed before I asked him to go…!"Tessa paused, wondering why she was indulging Tessa by answering the question.
" Why did I even tell you!?', Tessa said to herself as she stood from the bed to face Emily. She continued, "you better stop thinking about him!", Tessa said.
"I just asked if he came along with the ambulance!", " and I'm out of here!", Tessa said before she left the room to get food for herself and Emily.
Emily's plight was unbelievable! She had just woken up from the biggest scare of her life, and instead of being thankful for that fact, she was busy searching for her phone to call someone.
In the VIP room of a grand restaurant, Audrey and Lucas were having an eventful launch when they were suddenly interrupted by a call on Lucas's phone.
They had been talking about how their evening went so fast when Lucas's phone disrupted their hearty conversation.
Seeing the caller ID, Lucas cocked his eyebrows, wondering why Emily would be calling him, 'isn't she supposed to be bedridden?', Lucas asked himself.
Seeing his expression, Emily asked as the sound was already getting annoying. "Won't you pick up the call?", she asked, pointing towards the phone.
"Where are you going?"Lucas said, seeing Audrey stand up, " You have a call!", she said before she left the room. Lucas had no time to refute as she left.
Snickering, his irritation for Emily disrupting their quality time, he picked up the call. "What do you want?", Lucas asked immediately, cutting to the chase.
"Won't you come to see me Lucas?!", Emily asked after mustering her tiniest voice. "No!", Lucas said, about to cut the call. " Hey, hold up!", Emily said, thinking of something she could prolong the call with.
"You know you could have been the one bedridden if I hadn't taken the drink right?", Emily said, using her trump card.
Hearing her words, Lucas concluded he might as well attend to the situation, if not, she might use the same excuse over and over again. "Fine, expect me and my girlfriend later!", Lucas said after deciding to take Audrey with him to show just how serious he was.
" Are you done?", Audrey asked as she entered the room again. "Yes, I am, come on in!", Lucas said, urging Audrey to enter the room.
"Let's go visit Emily!", Lucas said after thinking of the best ways to put the message forth. " Is she awake!", Audrey asked out of concern.
"Yes, she is, she's very much okay. But she wants me to visit. And you're coming with me!"Lucas said.

" I'm busy son!", Liam said as Matthew took his seat across his father's table.
"I heard that same word for the most part of my life!", Matthew said, his fingers tracing nonexistent lines on the table.
" That was because I was always busy!", Liam said, still giving an excuse for all the years he was absent. He continued, "besides there isn't much to do together anyways!", he said, his eyes going back to a report one of his henchmen sent him.
" See, that's where you're wrong dad!", Matthew said sitting up, as he was getting ready to give Liam a piece of his mind.
"For years, you were never there, not even birthdays or graduations or any celebration of the sort. Not even when Mom was dying, crying out your name, you were signing a damn contract!", pausing for a while to school his thoughts.
" That's not why I'm here anyways. I'm here to beg you with everything you have, all your assets and everything. I beg you to just drop this idea of killing Lucas Walton!", he said taking in several deep breaths.
"He's pretty much untouchable and you still have your business…!", Matthew paused, thinking his father was processing his words. "Think about it!" he urged before he left the room.
"He's pretty much untouchable!" These were the only vivid words he could recall in the whole of Matthew's short speech.
Those words made him more furious because if that statement was true, the next assumption attempt was a complete flop. Just when he was about to give up, he thought; 'If I can't get to Lucas, his family members wouldn't be such a big deal!'.

Tessa went back to the room, pushing a trolley stocked with food inside as she closed the door behind her. Emily didn't need to ask her where he went as the trolley spoke for itself.
"Welcome back!", Emily said, in a rush to ask Tessa for new patient clothes. " Hi, you better now?", Tessa said, arranging the food on the patient's table.
"Yeah, yeah, I am!", Emily said as she watched Tessa arrange the food on the table. She continued, " can I freshen up now?", Emily asked intending to look beautiful despite her sickness.
Tessa didn't even need to be told twice before she knew that Emily wanted to change her clothes.
