"Well, I think we would need to get to that when I come home tonight!", Lucas said, suddenly remembering that he had a day to spend with Audrey.
" Alright then, I'll see what I can dig up in your absence!", Martin replied, knowing fully well that someone was behind it.
They cut the call soon after, Lucas completing his outfit with some cologne and some few jewelry touches here and there.
When he finished, Audrey was still in the room, wearing her clothes, so he settled to check some emails before they headed out.
"I'm done!", Audrey's voice suddenly resounded in the room, Lucas turned abruptly after scolding himself for being too carried away to notice his surroundings.
" You look great!!", Lucas said, his eyes bulged out and senses heightened seeing Audrey put on the beautiful dress.
"Thank you!", Audrey said, an evident blush on her face after Lucas's compliment. " What?", she asked Lucas, looking at her dress, wondering if something was wrong as he didn't take his eyes off her ever since she announced her presence in the room.
"What?, no, it's nothing, it's, you just look really beautiful, and I couldn't help but gawk!", He said scratching the skin above his forehead.
Audrey giggled in response before getting her bag, it was always funny whenever she saw Lucas being silly. Apart from their alone time, she never got to see his true nature, the rest of the time, he was looking cold and hot at the same time.
He had seen her multiple times, yet he just didn't know how to take his eyes away from the beautiful view in front of him.
He held on to her hand with a boyish grin on his face, the only one reserved for her. He didn't let her go when she was locking the door, and not even when they walked with goofy smiles to the elevator.
Unable to keep his hands to himself, Lucas wrapped Audrey in a hug from behind. Surprised by his actions, she stiffened, even if she trusted him, she was a nervous wreck just being in the elevator with him.
He peppered kisses on her exposed neck in an attempt to calm her, " that tickles?", she added, squealing, to show how serious she was. That didn't stop him from resting his head on her chin, just relishing the moment before the elevator dinged open.
Lucas groaned and released Audrey from his hug, "you get to be with me all day!", Audrey reminded, " I just really wanted to hug you for sometime!", Lucas complained.
"Well, you can hug me all you want after breakfast!", Audrey said, giggling, immediately brightening Lucas's mood. They headed to the car shortly after, both looking forward to how beautiful the day was going to be.
While the couple were all over themselves that morning, the gossip mongers of the Walton family were at work again.
It wasn't a surprise to see Amber, Nalia and her mother huddled in Nalia's room discussing the most recent events. "Where do you think Lucas would sleep!", Nalia asked her 'gal pals' as they gossiped with so much passion.
" Their relationship had roughly been three months, so I guess he would sleep on the couch or something like that!", Amber said after thinking properly about the scenario.
"Yea, yes, yes, that's true. But, what do you think they're up to this morning?!", Grandma asked, wiggling her eyebrows. She didn't need to explain further to her daughter and grand daughter as they already understood what she was insinuating.
They squealed happily after thinking the most naughtiest thoughts. "Will they go out or stay in?", Amber suddenly asked after her train of thoughts.
After thinking for sometime, trying to figure out what the couple would likely do, grandma said, " I guess it's not about where they are currently. The most important part is that they spend time together!".
The other ladies in the room agreed to grandma's words, and as such they concluded gossiping about Lucas and Audrey. But that didnt mean they didn't continue to gossip about other people.
Unlike the beautiful atmosphere in the Walton's mansion, there was a stark contrast in the Santos mansion.
Liam took out the anger of his failed plan on maids and other workers of the mansion.
He knew it was his fault that Lucas didnt drink the poison, and because of that he displaced his anger on innocent staff that didnt have anything to do with it.
Despite his anger, his brain seemed to work in overdrive, thinking of the next best solution to eliminate Lucas. He was in his study that Sunday morning, scheming as usual, the helpers were particularly happy that he wasnt disturbing them.
By that time, Matthew had already gotten a whiff of what his father was up to, but unlike the other times where the assination attempt was directed towards Lucas, an innocent victim was involved.
"What do you want?", Liam asked his son as he entered his study. He was surprised to see his son scrolling into his study like he wasn't going to scold him, when he knew he was going to get the opposite.
Unlike most times where he would barge in hot headed, angry and demanding an explanation, he decided to take the opposite route as he was bent on getting an answer from his father.

At the hospital, Tessa's eyebags had already become evident as she had stayed up most of the night to take care of the bedridden Emily.
That aside, she had repressed the tears which threatened to fall after getting the scare of her life. She didnt know what to do just holding Emily's body turning cold.
She had been in the same room as Emily all night, waking up after every hitch by her heartbeat, amplified by the monitor.
Emily didnt wake up until late in the afternoon, when the sun was starting to set. Tessa didnt leave her either as she wanted to be there when she woke up.
