Chapter 69 - Our Final Chapter

"Yeah, I asked her out. I guess she agreed, man."

"Great thing. Remember to make this day remarkable – not regret in the future."

"I won't, Daizō."

Leaning on my car, I hung up his call. What does he mean by not regretting in the future? Does he think my opinion is the worst? Not so, man. I'll never regret it. I just wanna make it a memorable day so that I can picture it in a frame of my heart. I can't dare to break her. Never. You see, never and ever.

"Did you drive yourself here to pick up Tangwen?"

"Yes." I replied without looking at the person but when I recognised the tone, I immediately grabbed my whole attention from my phone to that beautiful figure, I forever wanna adore.

Seeing her just brought out my natural smile. "Yes you, princess." She smiled and walked to me, forwarding her hand into mine.

"Is this a dream? I never wanna get out of it, if it is."

Me too, Tangwen. I never wanna step out of this heaven. But further I didn't reply. We normally got into the car and I ignited the engine, looking at her. Such shiny eyes, I couldn't find no where but only in her. I just wanna dive Into those dawn-brown ocean eyes.

"My eyes aren't even that pretty, Moon?"

I smiled to myself, looking at her house once and driving forward. "You hold a whole ocean in them, how can you say they aren't pretty, Ms Alfie?"

I can feel her smile being hidden by her pretty shiny fingers. Later, I was made to escape my laughter by her baby punches on my left shoulder. We were surrounded by that happy environment that I just let my past self toss out of my car. Oh my, I'm over the moon.

How I just ignored this beauty thinking she's troublesome but see how happy I'm with her only spending less than 5 minutes. But… – okay, let's not think about the further feelings. Let's only enjoy this moment.

(-_-;)・・・

This all of a sudden silence… How should I break this?

"Ahem. Wanna play music?"

"Music? Yes."

You see? Well, I haven't been active on Instagram for a while so I'm not sure what's going on. While driving, my all focus was only on the beautiful figure seated next to me. I just can't pull my eyes off her. Her hands raised upwards making way for me. For a second, I thought those hands were moving towards my face but it was my blunder, they eventually moved to the car screen to play the music. Haiz! How can I even imagine things?

In seconds, the music took its form. The soft music didn't shake our vibes but the guy in that music began tickling our ears with his outstanding voice. It was okay, after all.

"Moon! Catch me!"

She's just a child. A child that has just escaped from prison is called depression. I have no idea when I ran behind her, those laughters and glittering eyes we were masking is something I wanna draw in my heart.

"Hey! Don't run around!"

Everything for a moment became a halt for me. Maybe, or for the least period, I started to learn how to love. Though having feelings and expressing feelings are two different terms to keep up with yet I can predict myself getting along with both of the unknown principles. It's okay to be different and difficult sometimes, that is how you wanna change me, Tangwen?

"Moon, can we dig in hotdog buns?"

"As you please, Lady Alfie."

"Thank you, Madam Fowler."

And. We end up having our hotdog buns with our laughter. As I slid my eyes at her, I could understand how she welcomed me with her open arms. That trust she laid on me, I oath to never break it, Tang. I began to understand the reason behind her open arms – the child in her being hidden in that caliginosity is slowly acknowledging to evolve into a mature one, taking breaks to let her inner child have a moment of joy. I appreciate it.

"I'm puzzled! What should we ride on first?"

"Is that so? Then let's ride a rollercoaster. Don't tell me you're afraid of it."

"Ah?! Why would I be?! Let's ride!"

"So enthusiastic."

Does she think she can do it? Who knows, man? Let's see.

Mission rollercoaster! Begins now! We were both seated beside each other and sad to note, why the hell are we the one to sit in the very first seat?! The train was stated at the top of it track, looking down seriously brings me nauseous. Yet I was calm and steady.

I took a glance at Tangwen to make sure she's breathing. But, I burst out in a crack when I saw her making funny faces seeing the height. I guess she's already out of her soul.

"Already zoned out?"

"H-Huh? I'll burn you if you speak a word now."

Seems like it's not a safe direction to provoke Tangwen, huh? I just smirked and waited for the train to boost our hearts out of our rib cages.

[Situation after rollercoaster]

"I curse you bitch for forcing me."

"Huh! Who the hell told you to overcast your enthusiasm?!"

"Don't pull me on the wrong string!"

"Who even wanna pull in something like this idiot?!"

Obviously, we both were pointing our fingers to force each other to take a rollercoaster ride. It's a waste to say that we both ended up punking beneath different trees. C'mon, don't call me an influencer now! I'm not the one who forced her after all!

I looked at Tangwen, she was so blue. Maybe I shouldn't have provoked her. And the smartest person like me is always a step ahead of such things. I'm already carrying medicines, anticipating that something might arrive for both of us.

"Have them."

"Where did you get them from?"

"I hate to be questioned, Tangwen. Just have them."

After hearing me, she raised her brows up and turned back to normal. With a genuine smile on her face, she swallowed the pill. Why did she smile, though?

"Wanna go with simple games?"

"Oh, yup! My enthusiasm is back! Let's go!"

"H-Hey, don't rush."

She didn't hear me, after all.

I might not like to utter this little speech of phrase but I guess we have to call it a day. I don't wanna cease this enjoyment of ours but you see it's already the time for me to depart to the place where I need to tag myself for the rest of my life, if I may say. The message on my phone is what made me think in that way. Sigh…

Should I say… this is our final episode?

This will be more painful than having a strike of a knife in my stomach. I do prefer a stab of vanish from my existence than accepting the fact that I will be nothing for Tang after the countless tomorrow's in my good-for-nothing calendar. I was just thinking about it, looking at my uncountable birth strikes on my palm but a gentle touch of Tang's hand on it, immediately brought myself into reality.

When my weakling visions caught her smiling, I just buried all that betrayal and disappointment emotions in me. Is it okay? No, let me rephrase it. I will be okay. I smiled heartily, letting our hands interlock.

"Tangwen, what are your further plans after this day?"

"I'll be heading back to Chiang Mai to acquire a settlement in fashion designing brands."

"Such a good plan."

"What about you, Moon?"

"I'll be settling myself in Business Administration in this country."

"I see. Which means you will never come back to Chiang Mai?"

"I might, I'm not sure either, Tangwen."

That's not true, though. I'll surely be going back to Chiang Mai tonight. I guess my ticket got confirmed for the flight. But I can't push myself to reveal the untold truth behind the reason for stepping back into Chiang Mai. Obviously, it's not the issue from my grandparents nor any of my timid relatives but Mr. White – he assigned the work for me out of the blue.

"I guess, you should inside now, Tangwen."

"Ah… Can you have a dinner with… me? Anyhow –"

"I'm sorry, Tang. I've an important matter to attend, I will find another day for our dinner."

"Umm…, okay, Moon. But thank you for today."

Her smile has everything that I can probably yearn for. "Me too, Tang."
