"What are you doing here at this time?"
A girl who was listed in the naughty students list in the court was now in an absolutely unpleasant situation. I had seen this girl snap on the most dusted book in the library. She must be prohibited here yet she never tries to urge herself to never welcome herself over to this place. So rigid, huh?
"Huh? If I'm not wrong, you're Agent Moon, right?" Am I pretty popular among kids? I don't really come over here, isn't this so abnormal to know me well? I guess, they might have scheduled themselves with my back-biting. Ha… I'm a pretty interesting topic, huh?
"Yes. Is there anything troubling you? I don't really see kids around."
"It's true, we aren't allowed here but I feel better when I place myself here." She sighed and continued, "As I'm the oldest of my family, they often try to control me for no specific reasons. I was often locked in my house and hadn't given permission to place out. I have often been scolded for raising my voice on the elders but they say nothing to my siblings when they do the same. Just to say, they are just little now. They never –"
"They never tried to understand you, right?" I absolutely cut her off. I'm so exaggerated.
"Y-Yeah…, how did you… guess it?" Don't forget I'm not only an excellent agent but also an old hat teenager. Even though I have never experienced such peer pressure since my teenage years, I'm well experienced in other teenage youth's peer pressure. I can't understand their real or unrealistic problems but I have seen others suffering from it. So a minimum knowledge I call.
"Not a guess but experience. This era teenagers have similar complaints regarding parents, huh? Actually your parents aren't wrong - your perspective to see the situation is wrong. that's how you end up blaming your parents for every single thing that comes into your life, tell me now, how far were you correct with your perspective?"
"...Umm? Perspective…"
"Think about what I said twice you'll understand why your parents were avoiding you from this world you call beautiful? You will get the answers if you start understanding your parents' perspectives too."
Ariel Heinze. Good name.
Soon I just walked back to my dormitory as these agency people had allotted a separate dormitory for every Agent presented right now. I got the 5th floor, 159 room… which is next door to Nart's room. Now it's been hours after my landing in Chiang Mai but neither Nart nor Seventeen urged to make any contacts with me. Chai and Pim were still to arrive here. After the bad incident between me and Teang, we absolutely cut each other off from this caliginosity world… it sounds like we're back to....
Strangers.
A slight glance dashed through my phone contacts flashing Tangwen's name but I just left it untouched in minutes.
"Sigh…"
As I left it, I was pretty soon distracted by a notification. My eyes deliberately flew on to my phone and it was, "Chai…?"
I immediately got up from the bed, glancing at the little flashes of the depended moonlight. Acknowledging how gloomy I am becoming night by night, urges me to toss a million more unanswered questions in my head. Sigh…
I clicked on the text and began reading it, "A meeting? At this moment? Sigh…"
Just with that single complaint, I forced myself out of the room. At the point of locking it, I heard two more locking down noises from either position. I turned to my right, it was Nart, just looking at me and cut it off as soon as I connected to him in return. When you do such things, it hurts, Nart? To my left, it was Seventeen, who was at the edge to end the connection before I caught it. As far as I could never reach with this regretful of fist. This gap between us takes us to the Times of strange allotment, guys. Are you guys so sure to sound strangers pretty soon? …I do never agree with something like that.
Forget it. Maybe they are attending the meeting too.
"Have a seat guys. We will start our discussion as soon as T–"
Mr. White suddenly halted as the tune of the knock went wide in the silent room. The door edge silently opened and a head popped in. It's strange. Strange 'cause she was wearing a mask at this moment. I don't find any kind of odd in her wears. She was obviously in the usual or modern formal format. The connection formed between Mr. White and her and suddenly her eyes formed into croissant shape. So mesmerising. I immediately took a thinker's pose in and began scrutinizing her for some sort of finding.
"Oh, speaking of the devil. We were just talking about you, Taeng."
"T-Taeng…"
My eyes widened and I was huffing and puffing even though I hadn't taken any sprint. I could allocate those drums of my heart getting raised higher than ever expected. Why… Why is it you again, Taeng? And… after that incident between you and me, I became an impossible person for my emotions. You see I became someone the most happiest to someone the known emotionless beast – I do dismiss the someone living in me but now, in the present, I accepted it though it's reluctant. The holes you made were ever healed – it's the treachery mark you left for me. And now for what you came back to leave something again?
I could anticipate the connection of my feelings being experienced by other members too. I didn't let myself meet their gazes which I knew were focused on – Taeng.
Why? Why? Why?!
…Why did you come back?
"Is it, Mr. White? I'm pleased I arrived on time." It's eventually the time she removed her mask, posing the most prettiest smile on her small face. Disgusting, tsk! Is that you? Is that the person I was calling mesmerising before?! How shame!
"I see. Have a seat, we will start the meeting soon, Taeng."
"Yes, Mr. White."
Indeed I was bitten by the horrific incident Taeng left me a long time ago which in my perspective might be out of Mr. White's grasping knowledge but it isn't something I do vigorously wanna figure out about. There's something I'm curious about, something I was eagerly waiting to hear from her mouth.
Since the day first of Taeng's meeting I never got to learn about her given name… or she didn't have one? It could be some sort of reason to keep it personal. I. I shouldn't just accept everything with a guess. That's something I have no knowledge about. At this moment I can only call…
Nothing.
Those lofty steps could only make up upto my laying shadow. The interaction between our enmity shadow, attracted our gazes and shattered out into uncountable pieces of caliginosity.
Then a reluctant voice spoke up, breaking the unwelcomed silence between two dark souls.
"Did your hole healed, Moon?" Widened eyes, I invited her in the sight of anguish masked in me. Seeing her eyes have no emotion I was willing to see turned me gloomy once again. Though I wasn't healed yet, I'm still trying to be the best for my members till the very end. Is this how you treat your targets, Taeng?
She leaned to my ear, masking a genuine smile and whispered, "After All it's the gift of your birthday."
"Thank you. Thank you for your gift, Taeng." After all, this is how you designed me in the end, then let me act the way I was programmed.
"Don't look at me like that, have a seat, Taeng."
"E-Eh? O-Okay."
Are you surprised, guys? I'm okay with that astonishment, though.
