"Well, this is a surprise," Dr. Hendricks said as he opened the door and let me in, "I know you had said that you would be here early but I didn't really expect you to show up this early."
I scowled at him as I walked past him and walked over to the couch where I sat down and placed my bag on the floor. "Well, I do keep my word," I replied snarkily, "not that you would know what that means."
Dr. Hendricks laughed out loud at that as he walked over to his desk and closed the laptop. "I would like to admit that I know you enough to make a sound judgement without going off to far off the rails," he replied and proceeded to open a ew drawers looking for something. "But then again, I could be wrong. It's not like I know anything deeply about you."
My eyes narrowed even further at him as I crunched up my nose in confusion. "What the hell are you talking about? Obviously you know more than anyone does and you know that, so what the hell?"
