It didn't take long for Neil to come rushing in and pulling me into another tight hug which made Daniel roll his eyes in agitation.
"Luke!" was all he said and I knew exactly what he was trying to say without him having to say it. Neil pulled back and hugged Mum which also made Daniel roll his eyes. I truly didn't understand why the two of them didn't get along when they had known each other for the longest.
Patience and Lynn also came over but I kept hoping that I would be able to see Elliot among the people that came to see me. But as the time went, I knew that he wasn't coming no matter how much I hoped.
"We are glad that you are finally awake," Patience said as she held my hand in hers. "It was getting harder to pretend like everything was okay when it wasn't."
