Chapter 11 - Regreting

There is a dependence on Kai that makes Diga hate himself, from how Kai defends him whenever he is in trouble and how he can always come on time if he is in trouble.

The way Kai becomes a friend is perfect as there is no flaw in Diga's eyes about this friend. Diga blames himself for feeling he can never be a good friend, even though Kai is also grateful to have a friend like Diga. His cunning opens is ears every time Kai screams in annoyance because of Diga's circumstances and humility that cannot be found in friends or other people.

"Where are you going?"

"Just come along!"

Kai's emotions seem unfinished if he hasn't scolded Diga to his satisfaction, as in friendship rule number 4, which is to improve each other's character. Kai doesn't want Diga always has treated like this.

Arriving at the tent, Kai immediately scolded Diga.

"I don't want you to continue like this. No, we're all grown up; you have the right to defend yourself. You, do you. No one forbids it; everyone has rights, Ga. I'm sad that you keep doing this!" Kai said with a few sobs out of his mouth and tears filled with anger.

Diga couldn't help but stare at Kai like that; he felt guilty for his actions and couldn't fight the people who had hurt him.

"Well, I want to go to the bathroom first," Kai said.

"Don't forget the wound before going to bed must be cleaned again." Kai walked away, leaving Diga with his emotions.

That afternoon the sky looked very dark, a sign that heavy rain would fall to wet the earth; the committee accelerated the activity to catch up with the time before the rain fell so that all students were in their respective tents.

Kai, who just came out of the bathroom, immediately returned to his group after disappearing for a few minutes because he was dealing with Dimas.

"Okay. The last activity for today was looking for firewood in the forest. Remember not to cross the yellow boundary that already exists around the forest," said Rio using the toa he always had in his hand.

Sakura's group entered first and has followed by another group, Nanang, who at that time had just arrived, immediately guided us to find as much firewood as possible for cooking purposes and a bonfire for tonight.

"Sis, is it okay to have wood like this?" Fahri asked with a kemayu voice.

"You can't; it's a banana tree, not wood. Haha," replied Nanang with his joking answer, making Fahri even more embarrassed to see Nanang's smile.

Kai focused on finding firewood because he wanted to quickly get into the tent and lay down when he was tired. Suddenly it rained when Kai was in the middle of the forest alone and far from his team, panic struck, but this was Kai, the brave he preferred to take shelter in an old tent in the corner of the forest.

He took out his cell phone to notify the other team, but there was no signal, so he had to be alone waiting for a bit of rain, and he could run to pull over to where there were a lot of people.

When it rains, Nanang immediately gathers all his members so that they are not scattered when it rains.

"Fahri?"

"Yes, Sis," Fahri replied with his graceful voice.

"Kai?"

There is no silent sound.

"Kai?"

Nanang tiptoed a little to look behind to confirm Kai's condition, but he couldn't find it.

"Has anyone seen Kai?"

Everyone shook their heads and tried to glance here and there, looking for Kai's whereabouts.

"No, Sis, I saw him going in there," Fanya pointed towards the forest.

Nanang immediately took his HT to inform other committee members that a member of his group was missing. Diga, who was sitting in the shade when he heard Nanang's voice, immediately turned around and made sure that Kai was not the one who was missing.

Rara, who was sitting, immediately stood up to look for a signal on her HT and asked who the missing member was so she could help to find it.

"Teduh Kainaya Pasya," said Nanang.

Diga immediately rolled his eyes and leaned closer to Rara to ensure he didn't mishear the name of the missing member of Sakura.

"Who are you missing?"

"Kai," said Lara.

Finally, all teams were mobilized to find Kai. Diga immediately searched and entered the forest, carefully glancing here and there, hoping to see Kai's figure there.

Half an hour, he had passed. Diga and the others had been walking here and there but couldn't find Kai. Diga seems to have lost half of his soul; he can only hope to God to take care of Kai because he can never be there in every difficulty Kai.

The sky was getting darker, and Diga had forced to return to the hall to borrow the flashlight; when he walked into the hall, two human figures had seen in the old room. Nanang had just arrived with an umbrella and raincoat in his hand, and Kai warmly welcomed him. Just like a hero who is always there in every darkness.

That feeling of jealousy came back into Diga's chest; he had to bury his jealousy by burying it well, even though there were scratches every time he saw Kai together with Nanang. Some things are guarded so great by Diga he doesn't want his friends to be destroyed just because of his feelings; he hopes that one day Kai will understand that something strange is growing together in his heart.

"Kai. I finally found you; I've been looking for you for a long time," said Diga, holding an umbrella and flashlight in his hand.

"Yeah, sorry for bothering you. I was going to run, but it was raining heavily, so I covered it first," said Kai.

Finally, the three of them waited for Kai to wear the raincoat and umbrella that Nanang had given him. Kai looks very happy because Nanang came on time.

"Thank you, Sis," Kai said to Nanang while in the tent.

Nanang smiled as he gave Kai a dry towel to wear on his head, and Diga went back into the tent feeling sorry that once again he couldn't be a hero to his best friend. He felt like useless trash to anyone.

"Eat, Ga," said Farhan.

"First."

Diga sat in front of the tent, and suddenly Rara sat next to him, apologizing for Dimas's mistake that had pushed him so severely.

"I'm sorry, Dimas. I was wrong too; I'm sorry," said Rara.

Diga just smiled to hide his annoyance.

Because it was getting late, Kai remembered that he had work to do before going to bed to check on Diga's wounds because he thought Diga would forget. However, when Kai arrived in front of Diga's tent, Rara was seen changing the bandage, and the feeling of jealousy returned with a mouth that could not say anything.
