Seconds drifted quickly with no words fleeing the lips of the two ladies as they kept their eyes locked on each other.
They breathed out sharply, still, the look in their eyes was as strong as before.
After a few more heartbeats, Raven heaved a sigh and asked, "Nothing to say?"
"What would you have me say?"
"The truth. The thoughts entering your mind."
"I am sure you do not want to know what is going on in my mind," Sky evaded.
"I do," Raven pushed and with it she took a step forward, silently daring Sky to tell her.
Seeing how determined Raven was in pursuing the truth, Sky decided to let up.
"I do not know what to think or say."
"Why?" she attacked, not giving her the room or time of day to back off.
"Because this is different. There is no one who doesn't have a skeleton in their cupboard. We live in an age where people do different kinds of things."
