CHAPTER 74
All three pairs of eyes snapped in his direction, forcing Zeno to shut his mouth involuntarily.
"Eat."
At Xavier's approval, everyone picked their cutlery and began to eat. The tension in the air was already too thick.
No one wanted to be the scapegoat for which the king was going to vent his anger. Neither did they want to ruin his mood further and their appetite.
Breakfast came quickly and soon everyone was done.
Now it was back to Xavier taking her to the library but to his surprise, Raven refused to go.
"Huh, why?" Zeno questioned.
He had seen them when they left the library the previous day and how happy Raven was while she conversed with Xavier.
One would think she would love to continue what she did yesterday. Turns out she had other plans in mind.
To Zeno, it was an honest request. To Xavier though, his suspicions returned full force.
