The grim look on his face told her he was not pleased. She had almost taken a life out of a sheer mistake.
And she was scared—scared to make him think of taking her powers or stealing them.
Still giving up was not part of her mantra and she thought of trying again, taking a step down the first few stairs that led to the work chambers properly.
"I got lost in thought and wandered off to the training centre instead of where I was to train with Sky. One minute I was here and when I realized, I tried to return but accidents happened and I was knocked down."
"And the next thing you thought to do was take the opportunity to steal someone's life source away?" Xavier questioned, not sparing her a glance as he focused on what he was doing.
He removed the bag he had strapped on his back and placed it on the table as he went to work instantly.
