He squinted at her, his brain calculating, or so she thought.
"There is no one here who did not come of their own volition and wish not to be here."
"Then your security council is terrible."
"Aye, I only wished you had let me finish. There is none except one, the rumoured kidnapped daughter of the King's advisor, Raven Drake."
Her brows drew together when he mentioned her name. He was detailed, she gave him that.
But who in all the skies would daringly do that?
"So?" Her eyes dimmed further. She was not willing to give him an audience.
Self and all too knowing people like this were ones whom she wished to avoid.
"So…" he trailed off, masking his earlier look with a smile. "Forgive me, my lady. It is an honour to meet you."
Her forehead furrowed with his greeting. Especially with how he quickly changed the air about him.
"Honour? What honour?"
