Chapter 1 - Hannah

"He is dead". She said as she watched blood sputter from his neck where she had stabbed him. She sighed.

Another successful mission.

She got dressed and wiped out any suspicious trace of murder and walked out of the penthouse. Raindrops fell on her pale skin as she walked down the streets. Her annunciator buzzed and she knew she had to hurry back to base. She kept walking without increasing or faltering her footsteps. She raised her head and looked at the Sky, the rain had stopped. She closed her eyelids and sighed as her annunciator buzzed again, she turned around and started heading to base.

*************

At the basement, Hannah raised her left hand to the titanium door and the annunciator on her left wrist was scanned. The door made a beeping sound and revealed an entrance that she walked through.

Hannah looked around the empty hall and felt that familiar presence coming towards her, she turned and her eyes met with the boss, Raymond Young. He was the one who controlled their activities in the base ever since his father died. Even though he was still so young, he was respected by the entire gang members. Hannah's eyes scanned him from the top, she looked at his blonde hair, down to his grey eye, his long pointy nose those lips and his sharp jaws, his broad shoulders and firm structure. He is a fine male, she must admit.

Hannah bowed her head slightly at him and he smiled at her. That smile irritates her to the core of her being. she couldn't take it anymore and asked him; "why was I summoned?" But instead of answering her, his lips rose further revealing his pearly white teeth.

Raymond raised his left wrist and tapped on it to summon the gang members present in the base. When they all gathered in the hall, they waited to receive the information for which they have been summoned.

Hannah looked around, seeing that Raymond had summoned everyone for reasons unknown to her, She looked back at Raymond with a questioning gaze and as if he understood her, he spoke to the entire gang

"Ah….. I have summoned everyone to celebrate." Murmurs filled the hall but no one was bold enough to ask the questions running through their minds.

Raymond saw the confused looks on their faces, so he raised his voice and spoke to them.

"We are going to celebrate Hannah's 350th kill since she joined the gang."

Another wave of murmur erupted among the gang members.

"Of course, only she gets a celebration for every little thing."

" You are right, some of us have killed more than 500, but none of us has received a gift for our hard work".

"What do you expect, she is the boss's favourite."

When these murmurs reached Hannah's ears, she scoffed,

'Do these people think I'm happy with this celebration or what, and what did I just hear? Boss's favourite my ass'. She glanced at Raymond and saw that irritating smile still playing on his lips. How she wished she could slap that smile off his face.

"Okay everyone, let the party begin. All the preparations have been made for food and drinks so you all should enjoy yourselves because this is a once-in-a-lifetime celebration." After Raymond said this, the hall immediately got busy as the celebration had already begun. Even though they were jealous of Hannah, that doesn't make them want to miss this rare celebration. After all, they couldn't do anything to her, so they might as well enjoy themselves at her party.

Thirty minutes into the party, Raymond took a glass filled with wine to Hannah, she took one glass from him and drank everything in one gulp. Though she disliked him, she knew he wouldn't try to poison or drug her, she had learnt to trust him at some point.

Hannah checked the time and looked around to see that the gang members were still partying, and Raymond was still hovering around her. "I am leaving." She said as she stood up readying herself you leave the basement. "I have to prepare for tomorrow's mission".

Raymond frowned, displeasure evident on his face. "Why don't you stay a little longer? The party will be fun". Raymond said in an attempt to persuade her to stay, after all, he threw the party in her honour.

He knew Hannah was hot-headed and that she would not listen to him but he wanted to try his luck.

Hannah looked at him, her eyes roaming around his face and said "I need to prepare for tomorrow's mission and you know that, or how else do you expect me to keep my end of the deal?" Raymond just smiled at her question, it's all about the deal to her, that's all she lives for.

"Okay. If you say so. Why don't I drop you home?" He asked expectantly. "No, I wouldn't want to bother you with small things like that, I would take my leave now". She waved her hand at him and started walking towards the titanium door. She tried opening it but it won't budge.

Raymond.

She turned and saw that smile still dancing on his lips. He walked up to her and said "You know that anything about you cannot be bothersome to me".
