"You've underestimated me enough! You think you can beat me this easy? Do not hope!"
Although Arachni's body already looked helpless, her originally tight skin was now covered with wrinkles which made her appearance worse. Then, with the remnants of the dark creature's strength, Arachni rose to her feet in a staggered state. Her hands were positioned as if she was holding something, then slowly a dark red light enveloped his hands which then turned into two daggers that were shaped like insect claws.
The creature threw a sharp glare then it stamped its right foot to pump up its strength before it leapt towards Sachi and Navile.
"You snotty brat!" The dark creature screamed to vent its anger, ignoring its already pitiful body. Her arrogance did not disappear even though her death could be in sight.
Navile ran to welcome Arachni's attack while holding up the Soul Boa sword in his right hand. The sword gave off a purple glow and looked like it was ready to tear Arachni's body apart, Navile took the opportunity along with the ice needles that Sachi took out from Elysion's wand. The two of them looked like they were in a race to finish off Arachni first.
Neither Navile nor Sachi, they didn't wanted to miss out on a golden opportunity to destroy one of the humanoid Dolls that frequently messed up Planet Mildian. The good thing is, they can complete the missions given by the Veda without having to go to that cursed place that they don't like, the underground tunnels.
Navile could predict Arachni's attack, even though the dark creatures were called the strongest Dolls, still a Returner like Navile could easily predict the enemy's movements. The training he received from the Veda since childhood had made him accustomed to reading attack patterns only from the eyes or movements of his enemies.
Navile again felt something cold enter his body again. Although the air around was very hot, but not with his emotions. He can control his emotions and fight with a cool head. After seeing how Arachni's demeanor seemed to have gone haywire and checking how his enemy was about to launch an attack, Navile refocused his gaze.
Of course it might be a trick. Navile himself tried to outwit his enemy with a low, relaxed sword-wielding posture, as if giving the impression that the first slash was a weak attack to the lower half of the enemy's body that was easy to take down. He didn't want the attempt to defeat Arachni to fail, so he had to fool Arachni a bit.
Arachni moved first and it was as Navile expected. Arachni who forced her unbalanced body and chose to lunge from top to bottom. It was read from the position of the dagger in both hands and the lower part of his body that was bent down.
Navile immediately swung his sword up and down with a strong force when Arachni was already within the effective range of his sword slash. The dark creature's face looked very shocked when Navile seemed to change the direction of the slash of his sword which became high and immediately broke Arachni's lunge with ease.
The dark creature's limp body bounced backwards. Navile didn't want to miss the opportunity and immediately lunged back with a more steady swing of the sword. The distance between the two is getting narrower. Navile combined a sword slash with a kick to Arachni's lower body.
Navile leapt up, black sand splattered from under his shoes and the air grew dusty as the two attacked each other. Behind Navile, Sachi was at the ready with Elysion's wand which had already spawned a bluish-white magic activation pattern. Waiting for the right time when their enemies really have entered the game they made.
Navile didn't want to give his enemy a chance and immediately swung Soul Boa's sword, taking the opportunity when Arachni lost her balance and also struggled to dodge Sachi's ice needles.
With a strong movement but like he was dancing with his sword, Navile continued to charge at Arachni while fending off the ice needles that were about to hit her.
Navile jumped and then twisted his body to strengthen his kick on the blind spot Arachni who was focused on deflecting Sachi's ice needles. Then, after landing again on the ground, he took advantage of Arachni's wobbly position and immediately knocked down the humanoid Dolls. Finally Navile managed to take down his enemy in no time.
Due to the disadvantageous position, Arachni immediately fell down without a fight. The combination of attacks given by Navile and Sachi really made her helpless, plus her condition was already very pathetic.
Navil pressed against Arachni's body with his right foot, he didn't want to let the dark creature escape. Meanwhile, Soul Boa's long and thin sword was pointed right in front of Arachni's face who couldn't dodge anymore.
"Stop pushing yourself, it would be much better if you gave up. Your defeat is in sight, why are you trying so hard if you can die in peace now. No one will help you, not even your insect army will come to your aid," said Navile coldly. Even though he was dealing with a dangerous enemy, his face didn't show the slightest emotion. For a seventeen year old teenager, he and Sachi were completely different.
They had been given special training when they were twelve years old, then carried out dangerous missions by Veda since three years ago. All of that they did for the sake of creating peace in the universe and correcting the mistakes that the previous Whistle researchers had made.
By killing the insect Dolls lead, they could at least relax for a while thought Navile. He also swung his sword with full strength, while his legs held Arachni's body, Ready to slash Arachni's head which had been cornered, but when the silver sword almost hit Arachni, the flow of time suddenly seemed to stop. Navile's body was stiff, he couldn't even blink his eyes or breathe. The tip of the Soul Boa's sword that reflected the sunlight stopped right above Arachni's neck.
In that brief strange state, Navile clearly saw a black spiral-shaped dimensional gate open in front of him, the same gate when the Dolls monsters appeared. And the gate swallowed Arachni. Not. More precisely the dark creature's body was sucked back into its dimension or maybe the other Dolls saved it at the last second.
After Arachni disappeared, the flow of time went back to normal as if nothing had happened there. Neither Navile nor Sachi know what or who saved Arachni. To their knowledge, none of the Dolls had the time stopability. The two of them looked at each other with confused and disappointed expressions on their faces.
"That was..." Navile hesitated, only one person in his mind had the ability to stop the flow of time. But of course that person couldn't possibly save the Dolls. Why did that person save Arachni while she also gave the mission to eradicate the Dolls? "Ah no. There's no way it's her, there must be someone else with the same power."
"You're not suspicious someone, are you?"
"Of course not, it's just—"
Navile didn't continue when he heard the Elysion in Sachi's hand buzzing and glowing again as if signaling that the Dolls had appeared elsewhere.
