"Damn!" shouted Sachi anxiously. It wasn't unusual for Sachi to show this kind of expression, her golden eyes widened after understanding the signal the Elysion wand gave out. However, it seemed that the surprised expression he made was just to prank Navile. She often did it because Navile would become more serious than she was when he knew there was danger lurking around them.
"What is it? You just surprised me," said Navile.
Sure enough. Even though Navile's face was partially covered with a scarf, his eyes still couldn't hide that he was surprised to see Sachi worried after reading the signal from Elysion's wand. The golden iris that are the same as Sachi's are twitching, noticing the movement of Sachi's lips that are still stifled.
"Dolls are attacking Mort's sealing monument again." After saying that, Sachi's tense expression loosened and she gave a verbal order to Elysion to return in nanobot form. The small robot floating in the air to Sachi's right side was in the form of a magic wand and moved around following its master.
"I guess what's the matter, it's normal Sachi. So now we go back to Eldian?"
Sachi just nodded her head slowly in lieu of saying yes.
"We have to lure Arachni out of hiding again it seems," Sachi said to remedy her disappointment at failing to eliminate the humanoid Dolls they had been after for the past few months.
"She's already lost most of her strength, maybe she won't show her nose for a long time." Even though Navile said that, he was still disappointed, even though they could reduce the mission load a little more.
"Hurry up Navile, the monument sealing a dangerous place. If there are Dolls there, it means Mort's power is trying to get out."
The impatient Sachi acted like a little sister whining at her older brother. She shook Navile's arm as if asking to be taken to the playground. Her act actually made Navile want to continue to tease her. With a lazy move, Navile raised his sword and looked at Sachi intently.
"Yes… yes… young lady," Navile sneered. Then, he swung the Soul Boa's sword slowly. Slashing through the air gently after locking his memories on the location they were going to.
A dimensional gate that glowed white opened in seconds, a gate that would take them anywhere according to Navile's memory when he opened it.
"Come on, young lady. Please come in," said Navile half jokingly. He bent his body, while he swung his right hand as if he was beckoning a princess to pass him.
It wasn't a compliment that Sachi gave, but a soft tap on Navile's head as she said, "This is payment for making fun of me. Just watch out if you call me that again, I'll make sure you feel my magic power."
Navile chuckled, his arms crossed in front of his chest moving to wipe the traces of Sachi's soft tap on his head. "You're impatient, I just need some time to breathe." Then, he followed Sachi into the dimensional gate that emitted a bright white light.
"Haven't you been breathing all this time?" asked Sachi with a sullen face.
Navile loosened the dusty white scarf—which covered his nose and mouth. Then he said in a tone that was made a little silly, "Well, now it's just breathing."
"Tch…" Sachi grumbled but immediately laughed at Navile's strange face. Not wanting to burn his skin, Navile covered part of his face with the scarf he usually wrapped around his neck. But because of the scarf too, part of his face was covered in black dust while the part that was covered by the sheer cloth was clean.
"Look at your face, Navile," Sachi sneered, her laughter breaking even more.
"You don't think your face is weird, Sachi," replied Navile and laughed too.
If they weren't fighting, Navile and Sachi would look like normal young people throwing tantrums at each other. The short time that they passed from Planet Mildian to Planet Eldian was filled with casual talk. It was as if they had forgotten the battle they had just fought. It was as if there was no weight hanging on the shoulders of the two young people who shouldn't have done anything dangerous. Or maybe this is their way of letting go of the load for a while.
The hum of the dimensional gate reading them didn't interrupt the conversation of the two youngsters at all. And without realizing it, at the end there were already visible trees and green grass.
A strong thud was heard after they emerged from the white spiral hole. The two of them took quick steps. Passing a path formed of stones floats over the lake which is the link between the snowy forest and the area of the Mort sealing monument. A place that was the ruins of the research laboratory that Zero had long since abandoned—an organization filled with insane scientists.
Sachi again gave verbal orders to the nanobot next to her, then Elysion returned to her wand form with a purple crystal at the tip. Sachi and Navile have unique powers based on the mind and imagination. If Navile uses the power of her mind and memory to move to another place she has been, Sachi can cast magic according to what she imagines.
Sachi raised Elysion's wand as she entered the area within the Mort sealing monument. Instantly a magic activation pattern formed on the surface of the ground where the crowd of monsters were along with a yellowish-white light emitted from Elysion's wand. From the magic activation pattern formed, six balls of lightning appeared in a circular formation surrounding the Dolls monsters whose entire bodies were covered in black crystals.
The electric sparks from those balls of lightning didn't stop the Dolls monsters from breaking through the protective veil of the sealing monument either. It wasn't until the formation of the lightning balls narrowed that dozens of crystal monsters moved erratically because lightning was their weakness.
As Sachi confined some of the Dolls monsters in her lightning ball formation, Navile charged at the monsters on the other side. His sharp gaze aimed at the monster's body parts that glowed red—which was the black crystal monster's weak point.
Navile dragged the Soul Boa's sword which had been positioned low, within the effective range of his sword slash, he immediately swung the gray sword and hit several monsters at once and slashed his sword right at the red segment he was aiming for. The clanging sound of swords meeting the monster's hard body caused an irregular rhythm as it mingled with the sound of lightning flashes from the magic that Sachi cast.
The monster of crystalthat was hit by Sachi's ball of lightning was moving erratically, convulsing, even some of its crystal body vertebrae were detached and exposed pulsing red parts. Likewise with the monsters that were hit by Navile's sword, the black crystals that were released scattered in the air and turned into shards of light. Meanwhile, the now unprotected body part became an easy target for Navile's next sword slash.
