The swearing-in of the new Luna was finally over and now the fun started. All the pack had shifted to human and now danced and ate with celebration. Turk milled about them with a sense of peace for the first time in being Alpha. Peace of having a mate to call his and to help him lead, and peace of knowing that with a Luna, the pack would strive ahead with even more strength than it had before.
He saw Mazelina with Noreen, giggling about something they were talking about. His mate was back in her gorgeous dress and tiara, gliding elegantly about the pack. He could see confidence in her stance as packmates came up to her. He could see her calm breathing as she spoke without anxiety or fear of opinions. He saw the Luna within coming out and radiating power.
