It was almost a week later when they had finally reached their territory and Turk relaxed with a long sigh. In the back, he sensed Mazelina's joy at being in a familiar environment and around wolves she trusted. The pups were asleep and didn't wake until their mother nudged them awake. They instantly perked up at a new place and fell out of the car rather than jumped. Turk laughed and helped his mate out, then turned and walked to the den, into the garage and toward the elevator.
The pups yipped and gave wobbly howls that echoed through the space, making even Rudi laugh.
When they arrived on the first floor and the doors opened, the pups ran out and began to explore, shocking the pack members visible, then they looked at the three stepping out and a cheer went up.
