Mazelina finally had enough control to step out of Turk's room the next day. She wasn't afraid of Marth, she realized. She was confident she could handle the male with ease. Mazelina was afraid of herself. She had no control the day before and she knew that if it weren't for her mate, she might've hurt members of the pack. She was grateful for Turk and his patience and ability to bring her out of the rage his brother brought out. She could never forgive herself if a packmate was killed by her hands.
As she sat down for breakfast, she heard Anju and Rudi talking in the hall. She couldn't make out what they were saying, but as soon as they came into view through the doorway, they halted, going quiet. Mazelina gave them a small smile. "Please, don't stop on my behalf."
They glanced at each other then Anju said, "We were just discussing how the pack was reacting to the other day between you and Marth."
The new Luna raised her brows. "What do you mean? How did they react?"
