"A blacksmith?" the servant eyed Gwendolyn. He felt uncertain about this request but nodded his head anyway. "If I may be so bold, your highness, what do you need the blacksmith for?"

"I want to have a dagger custom-made," the prince replied. "Something fancy but very sharp."

The servant bowed so low before taking his leave. Gwendolyn smirked, watching the doors of the stables. It swung back and forth in his wake. 

"If my sister can play a game. So can I."

"I, King Baltimore of Eyeris, welcome all of you. It's a pleasure to have each of the kingdoms represented by young, brave, and bold souls willing to prove themselves worthy of my daughter's hand."

Ysabel pressed her lips, fighting the urge to make her father stop. 

'Maybe it was a mistake to ask their permission about doing this.'
