"Tch," a monarch chuckled as he pulled the reins on the horse he was riding. He was joined by another, entering the woods near the palace of Eyeris.
"Does she think we're here to play dress-up? Find a ribbon?" the first of the monarchs snickered.
"Don't underestimate the Princess yet," the second answered. He eyed the first, looking beyond what lay ahead. "Hearsay has it that it may appear petty, but she means business."
"Do you like her?" the first monarch scoffed.
The second one hummed, pulling on the reins of his horse as he moved past the first.
"Maybe," he answered. "Maybe not. I'm not sure, but one thing I could be sure of is this; you better brace yourself. What lies ahead might surprise you. Break a leg! Hyah!"
The monarch that was left behind spat on the ground. He kicked his horse, but the animal neighed instead, suddenly afraid of something.
