"Your Highness," Reis lowered her head, greeting Ysabel as the latter graced her bed chamber. The two other palace maids who had followed her around when Reis was gone came with her.
Ysabel strode with purpose; she pushed open the balcony doors and inhaled the cool breeze.
Closing her eyes, Ysabel thought about the events that happened for the day. Her muscles were sore, and she had been drenched from head to foot only to get dried upon reaching the courtyard.
Prince Hinrik's company made the trek back a little awkward for Ysabel. Her heart never stopped hammering, and the sound of crickets made her feel more agitated.
