Chapter 36 - Farewell

A cold misty morning had Ysabel putting on a coat. She pressed her lips together when she passed by her reflection in the mirror.

'This is the least I could do.' Ysabel thought, turning her attention on the opened balcony door. Dark clouds covered the skies, mimicking the heavy emotion that weighed on Ysabel's heart. She put on a white gloves to match her light blue dress before heading out of her chamber. 

Two palace maids waited for her and escorted her to the waiting assembly by the gates. The King, her mother and even Gwendolyn were there, ready to say goodbye to Prince Hinrik.

Ysabel stood beside her mother. She scrutinized Ysabel's appearance before focusing on the approaching figure from the palace.
