Chapter 8
The boy is more beautiful now that his blue eyes can be seen. He is really the Dragon cub she helped yesterday. It has beautiful gray long hair.
"Yes I saw you being beaten by your fellow. What happened? Why are you beaten by them?" asked Flaira.
The boys eyes became teary "Pretty sister thank you for helping me. Those dragons doesn't like hanging with me. They always beat me because I am a jinx that my own parents died because of me" he said before he truly cries.
Flaira felt her heart hurt for the little boy who seems like a five year old child "Sshhhhhh don't listen to them no one wants their family to die. Everything happens because it has reasons but whatever that reason is in the future you will understand" Flaira said.
"Is that really true sister?" asked the white dragon cub.
Flaira smile warmly "Yes it's true" she answered. "So stop crying already" she added.
"Would you like to stay with me?" ask Flaira.
"Yes sister, can I also be your family?" asked the boy while looking at her with expectant eyes.
"Yes so from now on we are a family. I will be your big sister. Is that ok?" asked Flaira with a smile.
"Yes big sister" said the white dragon cub.
Flaira was stunned when the white dragon cub pounce on her. He hugged her tightly in the waist while crying.
After the white dragon cub cry, Flaira look for the Old man who helped them.
They bumped into the servants on their way.
"My lady the breakfast is ready. I will lead you to the dining room" said the female maid servant.
"Ok thank you" while on their way the stomach of the white dragon cub growl.
Flaira and the maid servant were stunned. The two hide their smile and just directly go to the dining room.
The old man was stunned when he sees the boy who is following the girl he helped yesterday.
"Good morning!" the old man greeted the two. "Have a seat and let's eat" invited the old man to the two.
Flaira take good care of the boy while eating. The boy insists of eating on his own.
"By the way little girl care to tell me your name?" ask the old man in a friendly manner.
"Flaira Sugimoto, that is my name" she replied.
"Wow! what a pretty name" the old man smile "How about you little boy?" he added.
"I don't have a name" the boy answered. His parents died in an accident after he was born. He grows up in the woods together with the other animals and when he tried to play with the other animal cubs he always ends up beaten.
"Do you want me to give you a name?" ask Flaira.
The boy's eyes beamed with expectation "Yes sister I want to hear what name you will give me" said the boy.
"How about Rei Jin" said Flaira. She remembered the name of the four dragons she saw last time.
"Rei Jin I like it sister" the white dragon cub hugged Flaira happily.
"So from now on we will call you Rei Jin" said the old man while smiling mysteriously. The boy's name is near to the name of the Four Great Dragon General.
"By the way Flaira here in the Dragon Kingdom we have here a tradition. Your arrival time is very lucky. Today we will begin our preparation for the founding of the Kingdom. There will be a lot of people came from different kingdoms who will visit as a part of peace treaty of being the representative of each kingdom. I would like to ask if you could help me for the preparation in the Dragon Palace" said the old man.
Flaira smiled "Yes I would like to help as long as I can it's my only means of thanking you for helping us" said Flaira.
The old man smiled at the two. "For now prepare yourself we are going to go to the Dragon Palace" he said.
"We can go now" Flaira replied.
"That's great the carriage is ready outside" said the old man.
On their way to the Palace Flaira's mind is thinking about the shadow guard who protects her.
"I don't know whether that man knows what happened to me or if he could see each other again. But I had to try to believe him for he is the only one who could help me to cure my mother" said Flaira to herself.
"By the way Flaira when we are inside the Dragon Palace don't ever show yourself to the King. He is not someone to be messed with. I'll be honest to you. Our King is cruel and cold blooded. He also didn't like to mingle with other races. Especially humans, he looked down on them. For him humans are just ants to be trampled with" said Old man Gao.
"Ok old man Gao" Flaira replied.
"How about call me grandpa Gao" said the Old man happily.
Flaira smile at the old man's friendliness "Ok Grandpa Gao" she replied.
"That's more like it" the old man replied happily while grinning from ear to ear.
"Old man we are here" said the coach man.
"Ok" the old man replied.
The three get down and look at the entrance of the Dragon Palace. This is also the place where the Flaira lands on her first day here in the Dragon Kingdom.
"Old Gao the King is looking for you" said the guard.
"This early! What did he wants from me?" ask the old man with irritation.
"Old Gao please calm down. I don't know what he needs to you. Just go now he scolded almost all his servants today" said the guard with a pale face.
"What a headache, wait for me here little girl. I'll meet the King first" said the old man.
Flaira and Rei Jin walk under the big tree to wait for the old man to return.
In the Dragon Palace...
"Your majesty I heard you are looking for me" said the old man to the man sitting on his throne elegantly.
The man is extremely handsome and charismatic. He has blonde long hair, blue phoenix eyes, perfect shape nose and kissable lips. He also has a muscular body. The robe he is wearing makes him even more seductive.
"Old Gao, I heard a human came from another world is with you" said the Dragon King seriously.
"Yes your majesty, I also promised her to let her return to her place but she told me that one of the clan here in our kingdom killed her family and even the people in her Village. So I let her stay in my house for the mean time" replied the old man.
"A human came from another world. Bring that human to me, it's suspicious that only that human is the only one who survives when every one of those living with that human are killed. Especially if it's done by one of the clan in our Kingdom. They are not insane enough to break the law just to kill for nothing" said the Dragon King.
"Ok your majesty, if you want to meet her. I will call her she is with me today. I ask for her to help me with the preparation for the foundation day of our Kingdom" said the old man.
"What you ask that human to roam around the Dragon Palace without informing me" said the Dragon King with irritation.
"My king he is a woman and I trust my instinct that she is a good person. She is also too young" said the old man.
The king's brow raise he knows Old Gao, he is a good judge of character. When he says that a person is suspicious that is one hundred percent true. If he says that the person is to be trusted it is one hundred percent true also.
"Guard calls those people you see earlier who accompany me in coming here in the palace. Tell them that the King wants to meet them" said the old man to the guard.
"You mean the little girl and the boy?" said the guard.
"Yes" replied the old man.
"Ok I excuse myself first your majesty" said the guard.
"You may" replied the Dragon King.
The guard turns around and walks away.
Entrance of the Dragon Palace ....
Flaira and Rei Jin are waiting for the old man to return when a woman wearing a maid uniform approach them.
"Hey the two of you, why are you slacking there? Help us in the preparation there are lots of things to do and the two of you are just standing there" said the old woman who looks like a strict teacher scolding his lazy students caught in the act.
Flaira smile "How can we help you?" she obediently ask.
"Come with me in the kitchen; help us in peeling the condiments and doing laundry. Then after that help us arranged the things inside the palace" the old woman replied strictly.
