It was before sunrise that the vibration of my cell phone got so persistent that I was awakened. I laid there, with my wife in my arms, hoping that it would go away. However, it was a symphony of phone calls, texts, and emails. It was going to demand my attention. I had to give in and at least look at it to silence it, but I knew that it was going to be something serious if people were reaching out to my personal phone at such an hour.
Carefully removing myself from Hannah's side, I rolled over and snatched my phone from my nightstand. Just as I suspected, there had been a constant stream of texts and calls for the past fifteen minutes. Over thirty missed calls and over a hundred texts, most of them without substance, but just trying to get my attention. Sighing heavily, I stepped out of the room to handle whatever the hell was going on.
